Since that night at Jackie's house, Jack has been cautious to stay on Marilyn's good side but seemed to fail no matter how hard he tried.

Whether its new jewelry or dress, Marilyn got what she wanted. Yet she would go on drunken rampages verbally and physically abuse him. As he promised, he called his lawyer and changed the divorce agreement to which Marilyn happily signed.

He didn't dare hit her back; just walked away and lock his bedroom door until it seemed like she fell asleep. All they had to do now was wait until they went to court, and that day couldn't come fast enough.

Thankfully the press still didn't know about their impending divorce. Once the divorce was final, they would make an appearance before the press to make the announcement. Most importantly they didn't know about his and Jackie's affair.

Six months after the divorce was finalized he plans to start bringing Jackie around again.

He missed her so much. He missed her soft voice talking to him, the heated political arguments they would have that would lead to hot passionate sex. The conversations about how they both want to make the world a better place for everyone.

He loves how passionate she is about her causes and the changes she's willing to work for. Jack didn't know how long the proceedings were going to take but it couldn't be over fast enough. He didn't dare to call her since he knew there is a possibility Marilyn would get angry or worse go to the press.

Later on that night he and Marilyn are having dinner when she looks over at her husband. Jack is reading over some paperwork from earlier while eating his chowder.

"Jack darling, I was thinking if it's possible that we could make a slight change to our agreement," she says before taking a sip of her wine.

"How can we make another change to the agreement Marilyn, you're already getting sixty percent of what I have. What more could you possibly want? Besides you already signed the papers," he says looking at her over his glasses.

"I know. But, I was just thinking about the investments you made while we were married. Shouldn't I be entitled to those too?" she replies looking at her husband.

"You can't be serious? I'm giving you almost everything I have and it's still not enough Marilyn," Jack replies incredulously.

"I'm just saying Jack it's really hard for me to deal with the fact that you're leaving me for your whore," Marilyn replies picking at her salad, pretending to cry, "I mean I tried to be a good wife to you Jack and this is the thanks I get."

He sighs before saying, "Marilyn I can't give you anything else, or I won't have anything left for myself in the future after I leave here. I only can be President for one more term and my salary is already being divided up between five different charities. Now it's like you don't want me to have anything at all. I've been a good husband to you, Marilyn, I've bought over millions and millions of dollars of clothes, jewels, and shoes, not only kept a roof over your head. But still, that is not enough," he replies.

"What is it that she has that I don't?" she asks breaking the silence that fell between them.

Jack puts the papers down and looks over at Marilyn. In his mind he's wondering if he should begin with the very long list of differences between her and Jackie; or should he just not say anything at all.

"I  mean seriously Jack; are you really sure you want to give me up? She just looks so average and plain. What does she really have going for herself other than her voice? I'm sure she softens it to seduce every idiot that is crazy enough to fall for it. Like a fool, you have fallen for it too."
