chapter 1 & 2

chapter 1.

Deep in the rainforest of north america,amoung the trees, the plants, the animals, and the river, lived a clan of faerys. Now these faerys, they were quite a sight to see. They were fiesty, wild, but also gentle and caring. They loved thier home with every fiber of thier beings. Helping nature thrive was thier passion an reason for exsisting.

This clan of faerys had thier own order of hierarchy. The king of the fae, he was the oldest of them all and wise beyond his years. He had long flowing white hair and beard. He wore a long blue shimmering robe and carried a staff. His people knew him as king Nore. Now king Nore had a daughter, his only child. She was the most fairest fae anyone has ever seen. She had black hair and deep blue eyes. She had fair skin an a gentle laugh.She was the most beloved princess umoung her people. Her name was Emily.

Emily was a water fae. Always sporting her baby blue short fae outfit. She loved spending all her free time near the water, mainly alone. She would spend hours floating on lily pads singing to the fish an the frogs. Her father worried an always lectured her about how she should be looking for her mate and continuing the royal bloodline.

of course Emily wasnt interested. Mainly because her father wanted to arrange her marriege with the warrior nate. She had no interest in that great lump of simpleton.Emily wanted to be free, an when she wanted to settle with a mate, she wanted to choose who it was. She wanted it to be someone who liked her for her not her royal blood and child bearing hips.

Emily woundered if she'll ever find someone who will love her more then his biceps.

CHAPTER 2

EMILYS POV

The bright warm sun shined thru the trees as I, princess Emily of the fae, floated down river in a lilly pad. The sun felt good against my skin. As I started to doze off, there was a faint calling of my name. I groaned, 'no please, no not today.' "EMILY.....................EMILY!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?"

I just laid there, hoping that the annoying voice of my little wannabe friend would go away. Don't get me wrong, I mean , I enjoy little Lillys company. But she can sometimes be a little annoying and pushy at times, and after 300 years it could drive a faery bonkers. Yes I said 300 years. That's how old she is, and me being 400.

Us fae people tend to live a very long time. We are immortal in a way. I mean we can die, when we choose. Yes it's a little morbid I know, but that's how it works with us. After we live a long, fulfilling life, we can choose to die and become part of the earth or other elements. Its part of our traditions as fae, to make room for the younger ones so they can continue our work protecting the earth and everything on it.

"EMILYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!" Sheesh, cant the girl catch a hint. Sighing I flew off the lilly pad I was floating on a made my way to lilly, the little annoying faery.

"There you are Emily, ive been looking everywhere for you!!!" shrieked Lilly. "Sorry Lil I must of dozed off or something." I secretly hoped that she didn't relize that I was trying to ignore her a bit.

"Oh, its ok Emily. But your father is looking for you." Confused I stoped flying in mid-air an spun around facing Lilly.

"Really, why?" Lilly looked at me with a look of dismay.

"Well, you missed the council meeting again, and he is really furious about it. He wants to see you imeaditally"

"OH CRAP NOT AGAIN!!!!!" I flew off in a hurry leaving poor lilly behind. My father was seriously gonna kill me this time. I am forever missing the council meetings.
