EMILYS POV

I entered my fathers willow tree slightly out of breath from flying in overdrive. -Oh, Gods dont be too mad at me.- I thought as I plopped myself onto the mushroom stool in the center of the room.

My father looked up from his dusty books of enchantments and gave me a stern look. He was not happy at all.

"Emily, you have missed the council meeting yet again. As a council member it is very important that you attend every meeting. Repeatly missing them shows blanten disrespect for not only to the council and our people, but it shows disrespect to me!!!"

I looked up at my fathers very red face, I so did not like to disapoint my father.

"I'm so sorry father. I did not mean to do it i swear. Its just I was at the river, and the sun was shinning thru the trees, it felt so warm against my skinn. I couldnt help but to bask in the warmth, and well i must of dozed off........"

"SILENCE!!!! I do not want to hear your excuses Emily. I'm done with it"

"But father......"

"NO!!! Its time for you to settle down Emily and take responsability. You will someday be queen of the fae and therefore you should act like it."

I was doing everything in my power not to cry, i sorely hated to disapoint my father.

"I'm so sorry father. I swear I'll do better from now on." My lower lip started to tremble as my voice cracked. -No, i will not cry infront of my father, i will not show weakness.-

"I know you will Emily, for in the next full moon you shall marry the warrior Nate."

I looked up at my father very shocked. Me, marry Nate. This was not happening.

"What!? You want me to marry Nate? On the next full moon? But father, no, i wont." I sputtered. Why would my father do this to me, and why now?

" I will not debate this with you. You will marry Nate and it will happen on the next full moon. Now deal with it."

My father went back to his book as to dismiss me. I just sat here, in shock of my fathers anouncement that i will be marrying Nate on the the next full moon and that i had no choice in the matter.

Wait a moment, the next full moon? " Father, the next full moon is tomorrow."

Looking up at me smiling, my father resonded. " Yes, its tomorrow."

I could not believe my father was rushing me into marrige with a man i had to interest spending the rest of my life with. I couldnt take it, this was too much.

I got up and flew out of my fathers willow tree and straight to the river and landed on a lillypad. Thats when i let myself cry.

After awhile, i could feel someone land next to me. I didnt have to look up to know it was Lilly.

"Emily, are you ok?" She seemed genuilly worried.

" I cant let my father do this to me. I cant believe he making get married to Nate."

"Dont worry Emily, its not that bad." Lilly was trying her best to comfort me, but nothing was working.

"I cant do this, i wont do this." " But your father has given you no choice. there is no stopping it."

"Then I'll run away and leave." I declaired. Lilliy looked at me shocked.

"But you cant leave, you shouldnt talk like that."

" I can and i will." I lifted myself up and flew as fast as i could until I reached ubove the trees of the rainforest. I stopped for a moment, took a deep breath, and looked around. after a few moments i gathered whatever courage i had and flew away. I would not stop until i was far from this place.
