Calum's POV

*bing*
*bing*

I reached blindly, grabbing at the dresser for my phone

Blinking, I turned it on
iMessage from Gia

Gia: I can't sleeeepppp

Gia: the jet lag is killing meeeee

Gia: save me!

A few moments later she sent another message
Gia: scratch that I'm coming to you

I looked at the clock blinking 1:05 am

Me: Gia it's 1 am....

Gia: too late loser- I'm under your window

I opened my mouth and looked out my window- sure enough Gia was just chilling on the grass behind my house. I sighed, she was a nutter that one

Gia: we're going to the beach- I'm driving

Me: see you in 2

I slowly opened my dresser drawers and pulling on my swim trunks as well as grabbing a surprisingly non ripped t shirt

I quietly opened my window and hopped down, hitting the ground with a thud
"Get in loser we're going shopping" she giggled leading me to her car

I hopped in the passenger side as Gia started up the car, reversing quickly out of the driveway

All the street lights were passing by, illuminating Gia's face as she drove
She's so fucking beautiful
Her face was concentrated on the road, and she looked deep in thought, her nose slightly scrunched, her adorable thinking face. I hadn't noticed. Something had changed in my mind- I didn't just think about Gia as beautiful- she was.... stunning- she was just 'take my breath away' stunning

"Hey G? You know what you said earlier about your parents- what did you mean?" I asked, sincerely wanting to know, wanting her to be ok
"It doesn't matter" she glanced at me, shaking her head
"But-"

"We're here" she glared a little, cutting me off "I don't want to have my first night back in Australia ruined- RACE YOU TO THE WATER!" She shouted, running off towards the beach
"No fair you already started!" I yelled running to catch up with her

"Haha! Loser- I win!" She stuck her tongue out doing a victory dance around me, waving her arms wildly

I grinned evilly "I wouldn't be so sure" I picked her up, throwing her over my shoulder and ran at full speed towards the waves, dumping her in, she yelped a little "HOOD!" She shrieked, trying to stand in the waves "You didn't!" She gasped, attempting to splash me, but falling over instead
"Good thing I brought towels" I smirked at her

She reached up arms, putting on a pouty face and widening her eyes Who could say no to the puppy eyes? "help me up, will you?"
I reached down to take her hand, but instead of standing she grabbed it tugging me down into the tide beside her. She cackled loudly
"Screw you" I splashed water at her making her cackle even more maniacally

After splashing and laughing at each other for a few minutes I stood up out of the water, grabbing the towels off the sand

"C'mere" I held out a towel to her, wrapping her in my arms as we walked back up to the sand. The tide lapped at our ankles as we walked away from it

We sat in the sand, wrapped in multiple layers of towels, she turned to me "You know what I said about my parents?" I nodded listening intently
"I guess they were never really the touchy feely kind of family like yours" she started to sniff a little "it's really stupid I know-"
"No... no, it's not- it's really not, my family is just very close I guess, but like my mom said, you're part of our family now.... And I will always be here for you..."
"It's- it's just when I saw how you and your family interacted it made me kind of jealous or something" she shrugged

I looked at her face, the way it was illuminated by the moon. I just kind of stared in admiration, zoning out. She was so beautiful

"Cal?" She laughed a little, wiping her eyes "we were getting deep- did you zone out on me?"
"I was- I'm sorry...it's just" I mumbled, not breaking my gaze "Gia..." I sighed, pausing for a second
If I don't make my move now, I'm never going to and I'll lose her
So I went for it, leaning in, my hand grasping the back of her neck. She seemed completely thrown, but she didn't stop me, instead her eyes closed too and she kissed back, biting my bottom lip a little and letting my tongue enter her mouth. My lips traveled down to her neck and she let out a breathy sigh, her fingers running through my hair
                       mission accomplished lmaooo

"Mhm- thank you" I whispered, breaking the kiss. My hand rested momentarily on her cheek
She blushed, tucking her hair behind her ears "le- let's go" she whispered taking my hand, and we walked slowly towards the car

The ride was quiet, Gia still red from earlier

She pulled the car up in front of my house "well... I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" She scratched the back of her neck awkwardly.
"G- stay with me" I asked taking her hand in mine
"But your parents-" she argued
"-Won't mind if you're here because I'm an adult and can do whatever the fuck I want" I finished

She looked defeated "your clothes are really huge and comfortable...." She sighed opening the car door. I nodded agreeing- she did look pretty cute in my too big clothes "I'll stay..." she gave in
I leaned in for another kiss "good"

We padded upstairs, quietly hand in hand so as not to wake my family
"Can I have one of your big sweatshirts?" She looked cold, her teeth chattering a little
"Course" she grabbed the oversized, even for me, jumper out of my hand "my bedroom opens into the bathroom" I pointed to the door next to my closet
"Thanks" she quietly opened the door, shutting it quickly

I sighed, stripping down and pulling on a pair of sweatpants and a loose tee
Laying on my bed I opened Twitter
"Calum and Gia in Australia!" All these updates accounts were tweeting about us being at the airport together. Luckily no one was up at 1:30 am because I wanted to keep the moment private and keep it special- it didn't need to be blasted all over Twitter and Instagram
I liked a few of the tweets and retweeted a couple, making the fandom go insane- I laughed
"what's so funny?" I looked up do see Gia standing in the bathroom doorway
Why is it so attractive when a girl wears your clothes? The world will never know

I shook my head "the fans are dying because I retweeted a few of the update accounts"

She walked to the side of the bed, sitting down on the edge "people go crazy over the oddest things" she shook her head

"Well don't just sit there" I opened my arms for her "c'mere, little spoon"
She giggled at the name as I pulled her into my chest
"You're really warm- thank you" I could hear the content smile in her words

"Goodnight lil' spoon" I kissed the top of her head softly as we drifted off
