(A/N) Right okay, I apologise for taking so long to upload this but yeah. I'm not giving anything away, you just have to read it. Enjoy x
“Gerard, Frank! Wake up! I made coffee!” Yelled Mikey, bouncing around the room. I peeped through my eyes slowly with the little energy I contained and saw the most beautiful face in front of me. It was Frank. He actually slept next to me last night. Shit, what? His arms were tightly gripping my waist and his tiny legs were tucked in, near my stomach. He must’ve hugged me whilst sleeping. Despite Mikey’s dramatic entrance, he had still managed to remain asleep. I could just stay like this forever... “Wake up! Do I have to hit you over the head with a pillow?”
“Meh.” Groaned Frank as he drifted out of sleep. “Oh shit. Sorry... Did I? Did I hug you in my sleep?”
“Yeah, um... It’s alright.”
“He’s alive! Anyone want coffee?” Mikey yelled whilst handing us a coffee each.
“Yeah, thanks, Mikes.” I said.
“Hello boys, Mikey told me you were staying, Frank. It’s nice to see you. I remember when you were really small. Haven’t you grown loads?” My mum said as she entered the living room.
“Haha!” Mikey spluttered, spurting his coffee out of his mouth and all down his white t-shirt. I think he was laughing at the fact that my mum had just said Frank has grown.
“Mikey!” I warned him, slapping him as hard as I could while Frank stood trying to figure out what was so funny. Luckily he didn’t realise.
“Honestly Mikey, what am I to do with you?” My mum asked. “Look, I’m going out to do some shopping, behave. Frank, you can stay over again if you want, just make sure your parents have gave you permission first.”
“Yeah sure. Thanks Donna.”
My mum then walked out and a few seconds later the door slammed. A few minutes passed and after Mikey made coffee for Frank and I, he announced he was going to see his friend Ray or as I like to call him- The Fro!
“So, what shall we do today then Frank?”
“Ooh! There’s that new music store near my house, they sell really awesome guitars and music!”
“Awesome! Let’s go!” I exclaimed whilst leaping up the stairs to grab my converse.
When I finally got my converse and Frank was ready we left the house, Frank slamming the door violently. “Oops, wasn’t meant to slam that so hard.” He giggled.
“Haha!” His laughter always managed to force a smile onto my face. In that very moment I realised how lucky I was to have Frank as a friend. Caught up in a river of laughter I never wanted time to pass on, it would just mean I’d go back to being depressed and I don’t want that to happen. I think Frank must’ve caught on to the fact I’d just thought about my never ending sadness because he automatically asked “Gerard... Why you no smile?” Simultaneously, my whole face lit up, shining brighter than the sun. He just makes me so happy. Sadly, I became too absorbed and it must’ve been obvious because all of a sudden, I heard a deafening voice screeching across the street.
“You faggots! You’d better stay on that side of the street motherfuckers or I’ll knock you out!” Then another voice.
“Yeah! Eww, one of them looked at me! I’m going to catch it.”
And another.“Kill them!” A thunder of footsteps boomed from behind me. I think this is it. I’m going to die.
“Gerard!” Screamed Frank. “Run!” Abruptly, he grasped my hand dragging me along the pavement. I was in so much shock that I couldn’t move properly. “Come on, keep running.” He said, soothing my wave of panic. Where we were I really couldn’t figure out. We must’ve run way past the music store, but I don’t know because I was only concentrating on making sure Frank got out of this alive. All in an instant I felt my feet slip from underneath me. Thud! I felt my head hit the stony pavement. The whole world began to spin and I could just make out Frank standing in front of me followed by the three boys who were chasing us. Frank persisted to find out if I was alright. I needed to make him go. They were going to hurt him and I’d never be able to forgive myself. No words were leaving my mouth. I can’t tell him to run. Finally I managed to regain my words and bawled “No! Frank! Go!”
The last thing I remembered was a foot making contact with my face. Blood trickled from my face to the pavement. Then... Black.
