It was late at night now. Patrick had gone home, and I had asked one of my best friends, Haley to come over. I needed to tell her everything that had happened in the four hours I'd moved here. She'd been living in Chicago for quite some time now, and I really needed someone to talk to after the conversation I had just had with Patrick! I was on cloud nine!
"Oh my god, really?! He told you were beautiful? Just right then and there?! What a savage! He just met you! Annie, this is amazing! What did you tell him after he said it?" She gasped.
"I couldn't say anything! I was completely shocked in the best way! I couldn't stop smiling, Haley! He took my breath away." I blushed.
"Girl, you have to talk to him tomorrow, hang out with him! Call him or something!"
"You think I should?!"
"Totally! You guys would have so much fun!" She smiled.
"Should I call him right now? I mean, It's late, he's probably sleeping." I said, suddenly growing nervous.
"Yeah, just give it a try, he might answer! I'm right here if you need me, just do it!" She persuaded.
"Ok, fine!" I picked up my phone as quick as possible, and dialed the number written in the palm of my hand. I couldn't believe I was actually doing this. What exactly were the chances Patrick would even pick up the phone anyway?
"Hello?" I heard a voice on the other end. Damn, he answered. I began freaking out on the inside, and paced back and forth a few times before I even said anything to him.
"Oh, uh, hey Patrick!" I muttered shyly.
"Hey, Annie, what's up?" He asked, enthusiasm dripping from his voice. I hesitated, and cleared my throat before speaking.
"I uh... was wondering if you maybe wanted to hang out tomorrow? Maybe you could show me around town a little?" I chuckled nervously hoping I wasn't making myself seem like an idiot.
"Oh, Yeah, sure! That sounds great! When do you want me to drop by tomorrow to pick you up?" He asked, a long pause following. Now, I was completely speechless. I was actually going out with Patrick Stump... Tomorrow... And I was leaving him on the other end with no response. "Annie? Are you there?"
"Wh- oh, yeah, I'm here! How about you come by around 5:00-ish? Is that too late?" I asked, bringing my focus back to the conversation.
"Nope, not at all! Five 'o clock sounds good! So, I guess I'll talk to you later!" He said, using that enthusiastic tone he always had. I loved that about him.
"Yeah, totally!" I replied, smiling widely at the tone of his voice.
"Cool! See ya, Annie!"
"Ok, bye!" The two of us hung up the phone. I turned to Haley, and smiled at her like an idiot.
"So, what happened? What'd he say?" Haley asked, sitting on the edge of the couch with a huge smile. I paused for effect, and sat next to her on the couch. I sighed sadly, and looked her in the eyes with a depressed look, just to mess with her. I think she already had a hunch anyway.
"He said YES!!!!" I exclaimed loudly, scooting to the edge of the couch.
"Really?! That's awesome, Annie! When's he coming to pick you up?"
