Patrick's Point of View
----
I was thrown to the hard ground, forced onto my knees again. The girl released her grasp from the back of my shirt. She picked up a roll of duct tape, smiling as she ripped a long, thin piece off. She placed the tape over my mouth, as I immediately began to struggle, trying to break free of the ropes. I attempted to scream, but no one would hear me, regardless of how hard I tried. My knees were becoming sore quickly from kneeling on the hard, cemented ground. She towered over me with a fire in her eyes before she walked to the door of the room. She stood there, looking at me once again before leaving the room with a sly smirk.

I couldn't imagine what that menace was doing to Patrick. What was she going to do? My head began to spin in confusion. All of my emotions were mixing together. I was a big ball of fear, anger, confusion, hunger, and exhaustion. I just wanted to go home. Suddenly, the door that led to the other room swung open abruptly. The girl was standing there with a gun in one hand, and a roll of duct tape in the other. My heart rate sped up as she slowly, yet dramatically walked up to me. She knelt down to the height of the chair that she had tied me to. She smirked maniacally, and ripped off a piece of duct tape. She placed it over my mouth and stood up to her normal height again, laughing under her breath. She pushed the chair into the other room, where I found Patrick struggling in his seat. His mouth had been taped shut as well. I struggled with all of my energy, but failed to loosen the ropes at all. She chuckled again and stood in front of us watching Patrick intensely.
"Patrick, it's so good to see you again..." She said, her voice echoing loudly throughout the room. My eyes widened. Patrick knew this crazy girl?! I glanced over to Patrick who had the look of pure terror and confusion written all over his face. From the looks of it, I could tell he had no clue who this woman was.
"You don't remember me... Do you Patrick?" She slowly walked over to him, and rubbed her hand through his hair. He glared at her, with a fire in his eyes. He shook his head in response.
"How could you possibly forget the summer of 2001...?" She asked, fluffing his hair slowly and gently. He shook her hand from his head. His face had completely gone from angered to confusion. He had no idea who this lady was, and neither did I. She laughed, beginning to pace in front of us.
"Maddy Dayton... Do you remember now?" She stopped pacing, and looked Patrick square in the eyes. I turned my head to look at him, and watched his face as realization hit hard. He began struggling again, but much harder. No other words were spoken as she strolled slowly over to Patrick, ripping the tape off his mouth quickly. He winced in pain and opened his mouth to talk.
"Maddy?" Was all he could manage to say.
"So you do remember?" She scoffed, circling around us slowly. She rubbed her hands in his hair again. "You're such an idiot, Patrick, you shouldn't have let me go." She said, her voice growing softer and softer as she talked.
"You can't keep us here, Maddy. Everything we've been through was in the past, just let us go home!" Patrick pleaded.
"Patrick, sweetie, you're not going anywhere." She mumbled, anger beginning to grow in her voice as she spoke. "No one will ever find you here. Out of all the places in Chicago, this place will be the last searched. They'll search for you for days on end, and eventually give up!" She said, rudely interrupting Patrick. He was silent for a moment, thinking of what to say. She looked towards me with an intense stare, ripping the tape off my mouth. I let out a scream, and she slapped me hard, causing the chair to fall over.

Patrick's Point of view:
----"DON'T TOUCH HER!" I screamed struggling hard in my chair.
"What's the matter Patrick? Mad, that I hit your girlfriend?" She laughed, leaving the room without another word. I held back my adrenaline, trying not to lose my cool. I wanted nothing more than to watch her fall from a cliff. Sure we had a bad past but, I thought that was all behind us.

Flashback to the summer of 2001:
----"Patrick, what do you think of this?" Maddy asked, as a huge smile spread across her face. She had just joined the band this morning, she was the best drummer the guys had seen all day, but they had one more guy who still needed to audition... Andy Hurley. She banged her drum sticks together and prepared to start her drum solo. She banged the sticks to the drums with a steady tempo, and Patrick nodded to the beat with a smile. She was such a talented drummer! She finished her solo with a smile, looking at Patrick with pleading eyes. She hoped he had something good to say about her drumming. He applauded her and smiled.
"Man, you're such a talented drummer! Where'd you learn how to play?" He asked, walking over to the drum set.
"I'm self taught, I watched a lot of people on tv do it, and I caught on.Eventually, I learned how to do it on my own." She smiled and stood up.
"Dude, you're insanely good!" Someone said, grabbing their attention. They turned their heads to the door way, where they saw a short redheaded guy with a ginger colored beard. He was holding a pair of drum sticks.
"Thanks." Maddy blushed with a smile.
"Andy, by the way." He introduced, waking up to Patrick, Joe, Pete and Maddy, shaking their hands.
"Cool, and you must be the drummer who should've been here an hour ago." Pete joked, laughing hysterically. Andy laughed in response as well, and sat down in front of the drums without another word. He smacked the drum sticks together before starting, and began to bang the drums with a catchy beat. As he drummed, they all exchanged looks of astonishment. Patrick was more than impressed. He was blown away. This guy was better than Maddy and that was saying a lot!
"So, what'd you think?" Andy asked, putting his drum sticks in his back pocket.
"You're incredible man!" Patrick said, looking in the corner of his eye, realizing what he had just said in front of Maddy.
"Thanks! So, what do you say? Am I the new drummer or what?" He asked. Patrick looked at the guys and they huddled together, leaving Andy and Maddy out of the conversation.
"Dude, Patrick, this guy is dope! We have to get rid of Maddy, I mean she's good, but she's not Andy good! You gotta tell her she's out of the band!" Pete said.
"But I can't just say-"
"Maddy, you're out of the band, get out." Joe blurted, pointing to the door. Patrick's face went completely blank in utter shock.
"Wha- what did you just say?" She asked, just as shocked as Patrick was.
"Maddy..." Patrick sighed. "I know, you just started... But we agreed that... Andy is our new drummer... I'm so sorry. You're really talented, and I know you'll go far in drumming!" He said, not really sure how to cheer her up. She smiled and nodded slowly.
"Ok... I get it. I see how it's gonna be." She chuckled in an angry tone. "Just keep in mind... I'll be back. You'll see." She chuckled as she left the studio with an angry look in her eyes.
