A young woman volunteered to be my model for the day but of course I never painted any of my subjects without getting to know them first. It turns out Lauren was quite the ambient. She was very enthusiastic when talking about how many parties she's gone to and how many places she's been to but Lauren also enjoyed time by herself and I admired that about her. She was aware of her limits but never afraid to push them and that was something most people wouldn't ever do in their lifetime but I guess Lauren was different. "How long is this going to take?" Lauren asked impatiently as she stood in front of me and I rolled my eyes at her complaint. I ignored her question once again and dipped my brush into the fresh blue paint, lightly stroking it against the easel pad to finish painting Lauren's overalls. "You don't rush art. Lauren I have told you this a million times." I let my annoyance show causing Lauren to raise both eyebrows and tilt her head. She placed her fists on her hips and started tapping her foot when I just stared at her but I quickly got back to work when her foot tapping got louder. "Can you come here for a minute? I can't seem to get your eyes the right shade of green." I smiled politely and Lauren stepped up to me, locking her gaze with mine. I squinted and noticed that the lighting gave her eyes a yellow green-ish appearance which made my breath hitch. She was truly a piece of art. "You're eyes are enticing...and so re you." The words fell off the tip of my tongue but I didn't regret letting them slip out since Lauren began to blush uncontrollably. Her face turned bright red and she was obviously flustered as she tripped while walking back to her place. I stifled my laughter and she stood up straight in her position, her confidence fading away completely. Her shoulders were slightly pushed up and her face was flushed in embarrassment so I looked back at my painting, combining a few colours to get the right mixture of green I needed. I literally squealed when I got the right colour of Lauren's eyes and once I was done I glanced back at her only to see the beautiful girl playing around her apparel. Lauren pulled her overalls to the side, giving me a full view of her bra and I tried to look away from her. I quickly got back to work when she caught me staring but it was hard to focus considering that Lauren was now stripping out of her clothes. Her overalls dropped to the floor and Lauren stepped over them, kicking them aside. My eyes fell upon her once again and this time I could not rip them away from her. Lauren looked up and winked, "Aren't you supposed to be finishing your painting?" I nodded and crossed my arms, stepping away from my easel. "I should but I'm too busy focusing on the true masterpiece." I complimented and Lauren tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she regained her confidence. "How many people do you say this to? Out of all of your volunteers, why did you pick me?" Lauren started getting frustrated and I ran up to her, putting my hands on her face. "Hey Laur, you're the only people I have told that to and the only reason why I picked you is because you're an honest person. The other volunteers tried to flatter me by picking random art facts and feeding them to me rather than admitting they didn't know much about art like you did. Lauren you're beautiful, honest, and you're not afraid to push yourself and I admire you so much." I caressed her face and she kissed my cheek, hugging me tightly. I rubbed her back and she relaxed into my embrace, giggling at my words. "You are so full of shit." Lauren pulled away and I scoffed, grabbing her wrist. "I'm finished painting but you're welcome to stay and look pretty." I teased and Lauren playfully shoved me back. I dipped my finger in red paint and traced it on her face causing her to gasp. Lauren hurriedly put on her overalls and grabbed a handful of paint, not hesitating to rub it all over me. I groaned and she tapped my nose, smiling at wha she had done. I ran over to my supply closet and found a bucket of paint which I dumped out onto the floor. Lauren looked puzzled and I took that as my chance to sweep her off her feet and place her down in the floor full of paint. We both squealed and spent the rest of the day battling it out, not even caring about the big mess we made. "Truce?" Lauren asked as she stuck out her hand, using her other hand to wipe the paint off of her face. I looked around me and smiles, shaking her hand. "Well it's getting late and I have to take this paint off of me so I'll see you soon." Lauren kissed my cheek and left the room, leaving me to stare at the painting of her. Never in my life had I met someone so fascinating and I guess I wouldn't have to miss her because now I had a painting to remember her by.
