Camila's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring through my room. I rolled over with a groan, and blindly tried to find my phone on my bedside table to disarm the annoying noise. I opened my eyes when I failed to locate my phone within a few seconds and angrily shut off the alarm. Alarm clocks just make waking up that much more difficult. As I was about to lock my phone and get ready for school. I noticed the day and a grin made it's way onto my face. Tuesday. Meaning I had English second period with Miss Jauregui. Miss Jauregui had been my English teacher for the past two years and was by far my favourite teacher at school. She was just so cool and laid back. I was struggling with some of the homework last year and she stayed behind on her lunch break to help me with it. She ate McDonalds while we worked and would give me a French fry every time I got an answer correct. Ever since that day she would always go out of her way to help whenever I needed it. I considered her more of friend than a teacher and I think she considered me a friend too. She let me call her Lauren when we weren't in class and she always called me nugget or some other pet name. I had to admit, I saw her as a bit more than friend. I had a giant crush on her ever since I first laid eyes on her at the start of 10th grade. I mean, who wouldn't? She is the definition of beauty, both inside and out. She has dark, wavy hair that falls to her mind stomach. Her lips are full and she brightens up the room when she smiles. Her body is curvy and she has the greatest butt I have ever seen. Last but not least, her eyes. They are the most entrancing thing I have ever seen. They are a green, with some specks of blue, gold and hazel mixed in. They are simply amazing. She is simply amazing. She is simply amazing. I decided that I had spent enough time day dreaming about Miss Jauregui, and decided to get ready to school. The bell couldn't have rung quickly enough to signal the end of first period. I packed up my books as fast as possible and raced out of the room to second period. As I reached the door of my English class, I took a second to fix my appearance, running my fingers through my hair and straightening my shirt, before walking through the door. Lauren's happy smiling face greeted me upon my entrance and I couldn't fight the grin that made its way onto my face. "Good Morning Camila, how are you today?" Lauren asked, looking at me with those breath-taking eyes. "Good Morning Miss Jauregui." I greeted back happily, as I made my way to my seat. "I'm good thank you, how about yourself?" "A little stressed to be honest." She chuckled out tiredly. "I have a heap of papers to mark and on top of that Taylor has a basketball game tonight and I don't think I'll be able to make it." She frowned. The news brought a frown to my face as well. I had gotten to know Lauren well over the past two years. She had told me about her upbringing, her hobbies, likes and dislikes, as well as telling me about her family. So I knew the fact that she would have to miss Taylor's basketball game meant a lot to her. "That sucks." I told her sympathetically, to which she nodded her head sadly in agreement. Suddenly, an idea popped into my head. "Hey! How about I help you mark your papers, and then you can go and watch Taylor's basketball game!" I suggested, excited at the prospect of helping Lauren out, as well as spending some quality time with her. "You would really spend your free time at school marking papers with me just so I don't miss my sisters basketball game?" She asked me, a touched look on her face. "Of course!" I exclaimed. "It's not like I have anything better to do anyway. I'm a loser." I joked, laughing at myself but stopped when I saw the frown on Lauren's face. "Don't say that about yourself Camila. You are not a loser. You are smart, funny and kind girl. Don't talk down about yourself." She told me seriously. A blush spread onto my cheeks at her words and butterfly's erupted in my stomach. She would always say things like that to me and it would always turn me into a blushing, stuttering mess. "T-Thank you." I said quietly, looking up at Lauren, who was looking right back at me with a look I couldn't quite describe. Our little moment was ended by the rest of my classroom barging loudly though the door. The class went by how it always did. Lauren and I sharing small smiles and inside jokes and the rest of the class goofing off and not listening. The end of the day had finally arrived and I couldn't be happier. I now got to spend uninterrupted alone time with my favourite teacher. I walked into Lauren's classroom for the second time today, seeing her already grading some papers, with a huge stack of them next to her. I made my presence known and she looked up at me with a grin. "Camila! Thank you so much for helping, I really appreciate it! I honestly don't know what I would do without you." She gushed, walking up to me and pulling me into a big bear hug. The hug took me completely off guard and I just stood there stunned. Before I could get my brain to catch up and reciprocate the hug, she pulled back with a worried expression. "Oh god I shouldn't have done that. I made you so uncomfortable. I'm so sorry Camila. Sometimes I just forget that you're my student and I can't do stuff like that. I'm so sor-" I cut her off her rambling with a chuckle. "Lo, it's fine. Really. You just caught me off guard that's all." I reassured her, causing her to visibly relax and her smile to return to her perfect face. "Good! Well let's get marking shall we!" She clapped her hands and handed me a stack of papers to mark. We had been grading papers for about an hour now, although it felt more like ten minutes. We had been talking and joking around while we marked, so it felt more like hanging out with a friend than grading essays with a teacher. I was in the middle of marking my second to last paper, when Lauren's voice interrupted my marking. "Hey Camila. Could you come and take a look at this please? I'm not sure if this is correct or not." She said, not taking her eyes off the paper as she spoke. I walked over to her and crouched down beside her chair, so our heads were at the same level. I looked at the paragraph she was pointing at and quickly skimmed over it. As I turned my head to face her and tell her my opinion, she turned her head at the same time, causing our lips to brush together. Both of our eyes widened, and for a second we just stared at each other in disbelief. Although my mind was still processing what had just happened, my heart was racing a mile a minute. The usual butterflies were back and my lips were slightly tingling. Just as I was about to apologise, I felt her lips on mine again, this time they were moving against mine. She was kissing me. Oh my god Lauren was kissing me! I tried to not waist time and reciprocated the kiss as best I could, although my mind was reeling. I can't believe that I am kissing Lauren. My English teacher! Her lips were so soft and they fit perfectly with mine. I didn't want the kiss to end but we were both running out of oxygen quickly. This kiss continued until we both pulled away, gasping for air. We both sat there, catching our breath for a moment, before an awkward silence fell over us. "Camila..." Lauren trailed off. I stopped her before she could say anything else, knowing very well what she was about to say. "Lauren before you say anything, just listen. I know I'm your student, and your my teacher. I know your 24 and I just turned 18. I know you are way out my league and you probably just kiss me out of pity but I like you Lauren. I've liked you ever since I first saw you. You are so beautiful, inside and out. With every new thing I learn about you, I like you even more. I've tried to stop but I just can't. It's not just some little school girl crush. I like you Lauren and I just had to let you know that." I confessed, glad to get it all of my chest. Lauren was silent for a while, no doubt shocked at my confession. A few second later, I felt her lips on mine again. This kiss was quick, but it was full of love. "I like you too Camila. I tried to fight my feelings for you too but I can't anymore. Every time I see your smile, or hear your laugh, my heart skips a beat. I know it's dangerous but I want to be with you. Please tell me you'll be with me" She pleaded. "Lauren, you could lose your job." I reminded her sadly. "I don't care!" She said seriously. "You are more important to me than any job. Please, just give us a chance?" She asked. "Ok" I said simply. I couldn't put up a fight when I wanted this just as badly as she did. I connected our lips again in a passionate kiss. The kiss as broken quickly because we couldn't stop smiling, we were both to overjoyed to do anything except laugh and smile. I went to bed that night with a smile on my face, looking forward to the day ahead for the first time in my life, all because of one woman. Miss Jauregui. My girlfriend.
