Gone For Too Long

I woke up in the same bed that I woke up when the village blew up. I opened my eyes a few times to make sure that I was safe and crawled out of bed, feeling a little weak. I ran out of the room and looked around. Yep, I'm definitely back in the bunker... I then walked into the hallway and looked around, "hello?" I stopped every once in a while to listen for any noises, and the silence was really creeping me out. I went to the ladder and saw that the blocks weren't covering the exit. I climbed up and went through the area. I went passed all the cages to find all cages empty. I was creeped out and ran through the small hallway of spider webs. I ran through a few and heard a spider complain about its masterpiece being destroyed. I shouted back, "sorry!" I then ran out of the tunnel and looked around. Still no one. I ran into the meeting room. Nope, not even a scratch. I shouted, "ANYONE!" I was getting too scared to do anything. Did they get captured by something? Did I get killed? What happened to everyone. Where are they? My mind ran to the point of tears going down my cheeks. I started crying for a while, freaking out. I put my head into my folded arms and kept crying. I stayed there for a long time, frightened that something bad happened to them.

I then had enough of sitting around, so I got up and started looking for any notes that could have been left behind. I looked inside all the seats, went through all the farms, went everywhere that I could think of to see if anyone left anything for me. After searching, I went back to the storage room and got some steak out to calm myself. Where is the arm rubbing when you need it? I then imagined the many times he would rub that one part of my arm to calm me down, so I started to do it myself and calmed down that way. After eating, I decided to walk outside, only to find the change in the atmosphere. It felt really empty, and Andrew's house disappeared, like it was possibly burned down or something. I walked around the biome for a while before deciding to go to the desert that I came from. Right after I went under the first trees, I heard shouting, "TRIST IS GONE!" I didn't know who it was, so I turned around to see a lot of people running toward Hero's house. I heard mumbling while they ran. None of them looked my direction. I felt queasy as reality dawned on me. I've been asleep for a very long time. I went to a pond to look at my reflection to see that the only thing that was out of place was my red face and tear-stained cheeks. I then sat under the tree and relaxed. I pinched myself to see if I was really awake, and I obviously was, since pain was registering. I took a couple of deep breaths as I tried to calm down from my little discovery that I was gone for a while. Everyone then went different directions, a few going somewhat my direction. Nina and Magma were very close to finding me, but when they could have, they both turned different directions.

They then started calling out for me, "Trist! It's us, Magma and Nina!" Magma cried, as if so happy that I came out of my coma, or whatever that was. I felt really bad as I stayed in one place, afraid of what just happened. I then saw Hero as he walked along the edge, peering into the forest as looked for any sign of me.

After a little walking, he got really close and stopped when we were  staring at each other. He smiled, "not a bad hiding place. Just you forgot this side of the hiding spot." He then walked up and put his arms under the small of my back and behind my knees before hoisting me into the air. He shouted at the other two, "you two walked right by her." They both turned around with surprise written on their faces and started walking toward us after a small sigh from Magma. He rubbed my arm in the way he usually does, "you look like you went through a lot. What happened?" I looked up at him, who looked a lot more sympathetic than he usually does.

I sighed, "I just had a huge fright. No one was anywhere in the house, not to mention the disappearance of a certain building." He looked at the hill Andrew's house usually sat on and laughed after a little staring.

"Oh, his house?" He spoke with his British accent, "King had enough of his house being a waste of space, so.we took everything valuable before he demolished it." Hero bounced his eyebrows as he continued, "if only you were awake for that. You would of had a blast."

"Easy for you to say!" I looked over to see Andrew on what looked like a dog leash. He then paced around in the area he was kept. I happened to notice that the leash was actually a chain and a lock in the chain being held by King.

Hero laughed, "and we forced someone to watch. His father had a little fit over the leash, but when we told him all that he did to us, his father finally got why we hated him so much." Andrew pouted a little and walked away only to be yanked back.

I was then carried all the way to the house and back into the bed I had claimed before the bunker was made before I said anything, "how long have I've been gone?"

He gasped, as if looking for an answer, then he sighed, "a little over a month."

"A MONTH!" I jumped out of the bed again and hit the ceiling with my head.

He sighed, "I somehow knew that you were going to do that..." I laughed a lite as I rubbed my head to try to get rid of some of the pain.

A knock sounded and Notch was in the doorway, "I heard someone took her first steps after her beauty sleep." I was layed down as he said this.

"And we scared her a little by not being there when she first woke up." Hero added as he soothed me.

He nodded, "yeah, right. Then someone should have stayed back to keep an eye on her instead of getting everyone to work on that building." He sighed and walked up to my bed.

"Building?" I questioned the sudden idea. What do they need now? It's not like Hero's place alone is enough to feed the entire group and still isn't enough.

Hero laughed, "yep. We decided to make an extra building, just in case someone takes over my place. And who knows how many more people will get all over me." I then laughed, since all the memories of Hero being creamed with fandom came into my head at once.

Notch laughed, "so that's why you tense up every time that small group of girls come around."

"Yes, Notch. I actually have fans because a lot of schools talk about me behind my back..." He seemed depressed but laughed anyway. It seemed that everyone had lightened up after finding me, and I hoped it would stay that way. After a little laughing, Notch left and Hero coaxed me to go back to sleep, and this time, he would stay beside me until I wake up again. And once I fell asleep, I knew that the trouble was over and I could finally sleep without having to worry about anything. Oh, and mom's funeral? When I woke up again, Hero told me it turned into a party very quickly, so I knew that I didn't miss any sorrow.
