The next time I saw him, I was asleep when his lights woke me up. I heard my door open and close before I started opening my eyes and letting out a surprised gasp. A pair of empty eyes stared at me in the moonlight's ray on the other side of the shelter. Yes, I still had a little gap in my shelter from where there should be a roof. I stared at him with surprise, well, for the most obvious reason there is. He was just standing there. Why is he just standing there? Why is he even there?
It was like he was reading my mind, because the answer came, "I have something to tell you. Something very important..." he spaced out, staring at the ceiling now.
And what is it?
"It's your family history. I know about it."
I gasped, "you know about it? But how?" A majority of my family history is rather forgotten or lost. Either one, no one really knows except for the last few generations, the farthest to my grandparents.
"Because I'm part of it!" He smiled as I collapsed into the bed. I stared at the ceiling as I let it sink in. But how? How is this possible? How come no one told me before now, when I'm almost alone?! So many questions, so little time to ask them. But then again, I have all night long, right?
But he started answering anyway, "your parents didn't want you to panic because of the strange history. You have a lot of legends in your family, including the Walker King, the controller of the wind. He is one of your 'lost brothers'."
I was still confused. "But how did the legends get into my family? Are they immortal? And... are you reading my mind?"
"Actually, no. In fact, they are more like supernatural than immortal. But they seem immortal, if you think of it. And your mother was a test subject in a laboratory far away from here. It's near the basin with a bunch of lava. And there is a reason that most people go to the basin in the first place. All because they end up getting a job there and experiment on things. Mother was there because she had no other choice. She was tested to make immortals, but instead the babies died and came back to life a minute after and become supernatural, becoming basically unstoppable. I was born five years before you were, and I was born with these eyes. Well, more like reborn. So far, you are one of the few who came out of her womb and didn't die in the beginning, but you still have the supernatural stuff in you. I won't kill you, but at least you will know what would happen right after you die. No matter how you die. And yes, I am reading your mind." He laughed after expressing this knowledge.
That's when he started to literally fade out. Before thirty seconds, he was almost completely camouflaged into the oak planks. "Wait!" He stopped and started coming back. "Do you know how I will die?"
He nodded, "you will die in betrayal of a friend..." and started going again. This time I didn't stop him and he went away completely.
I guess that's what he meant by "but everyone of the people I help gets a shock in the end". He meant something that was going to be a little scary. Now I have undead people in my family! And did he just teleport out of my house, or is he just camouflaged? I don't get it at all. Was that even true? Probably. But he might of have said all that just to scare me. I hope I can see these "lost brothers". I really do. It sounds awesome. And that was when the door opened and closed behind the invisible being. I sighed, there goes the invisible mystery man...---------------------------------
