Man, I haven't been in the desert for a long time. I started to get used to the grass. And now I have to get used to the sand again. I just hope this rescue doesn't take long. That would be horrible, getting blisters on my feet and walking awkwardly with Herobrine beside me, trying to balance me all the time. That's how I started off when I first walked around the village in the middle of the day. Just it was mom and dad instead of my newly found brother. And that was when I was about twelve years old. I don't really know why my memories starts so late, but I'll get to thay later.
I walked onto the sand with Herobrine standing beside me. I tried not to think of Nina and what could happen on her own for her first night. But I guess she is sleeping pretty well. After all, she is used to sleeping without anyone the same room anyway. Now my use-to-be village was right in front of me. I couldn't believe it! It felt like only yesterday when I left for the first time. And now I'm back. We walked directly passed the town hall, where I had selected my fate. I breathed in the dry, sandy air as I walked toward my home. Surprisingly, Herobrine knew where to go. They probably live in the same house for a long time, so he might remember where they lived.
I stepped up the stairs that led to the front door. I breathed in and pushed the door open. Our eyes shined into the room, showing destruction. Ripped fabric was thrown on ground with blood splattered on the walls. I had a bad feeling about it. I gulped and stiffened up. Herobrine noticed my sudden stiffness, "what's the matter?"
I pointed at the blood and he nodded. He gestured to take his hand, and that was what I did. He put his other hand on my back and nudged me on. I cringed as I noted every mark of blood on the walls. Something has happened... that was all I could think of. I kept walking and went right up to Magma's door when I noticed something. There were several blood marks and there were locks on her door. I never saw them before. What did she do to deserve this? I heard whimpering and someone whispering, "help..." the string was pulled inside of me and I snapped. I started unlocking the door, not even caring if my parents heard me. I was almost done when I heard a door open. Herobrine went somewhere, because he wasn't beside me anymore. He was nowhere to be seen. I looked up and that's when I found him, pressing his entire body against the walls above me.
He hushed me and I continued. I snapped the last bolt out of the way and I swung the door open. Magma shook in horror and made a small scream. "Hey. It's me, Trist." She looked up and saw me. Her face had a little blood dried on it with her hands wrapped in cloth. The cloth was blood red and dried. She was hurt. "Magma, what happened to you? You're hurt." She whimpered more.
"Mom and da-" an electric buzz sounded and she screamed in pain. An electric collar was strapped to her. Tears formed in my eyes as I felt the sting of betrayal I have left on Magma.
"Oh Magma..." I went to my knees and I caught a tear from her eyes, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean for you to be left behind just to get hurt. I wish I have brought you with me. I wish I c-"
"It's alright," she whispered softly so her voice box wouldn't vibrate, "you didn't have a choice. I wish I could go with you, too, but I couldn't. It's not your fault. It's them." I felt myself about to cry, but I didn't want to do it then.
"We came for you, Magma. We are going to get you out of here."
"We?"
I nodded and tried to get her up when I felt something yank her back. I let go and I saw there was a chain attached to her arm. I got a better look and I gasped. I can't get her out! No! I looked toward the door and the door slammed shut. Someone had already started locking the door when I got up and ran to the door. I body slammed into the door and it didn't budge. I screamed, "LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!" I then heard some fighting outside the door. Maybe that's why Herobrine hid on the ceiling. So clever of you... I stared at the door, just waiting for my demand to come true. After the noises stopped, someone knocked, "you okay in there?" Herobrine.
