I walked on the walkway on the side of the giant cobblestone wall that everyone is still building. The entire little village inside the walls were a little like your world's medieval villages that were there. Everyone had their own house, along with some spare houses and a little blacksmith that Notch and Hero would go to make weapons in case of any invasion occurs. The walkway that I was helping expand are for archers, like me. Our houses are close to the ladders that lead to the walkway, which was one block lower than the wall for shielding techniques. There was a huge castle in the middle that acts like a meeting area.
I looked down to see Magma and her friends talking about whatever was on their minds, so I simply shrugged and continued with my expansion of the walk way, which was three blocks wide, and I knew there was only a little left before the walkway was complete. Andrew has finally accepted that he had to deal with his loss of his sister, so he and his father were walking around just talking away. I sighed, I just really hope he really did get over the fact that he is no match for us... I still had my trust issues, but I guess I will let time show us what he really has inside of him. Notch and Hero were catching up with their brotherly love, since they were tackling each other in the gravel road I've made to make sure everyone knows where to go, but they were doing it in a gentle way, so I only laughed in amusement.
My friends walked into the road and looked up to see me put the finishing touches, "hey, Trist! Come on down here! It's not like someone is going to attack us any second!"
I smiled and nodded, "just let me put something down and I'll be done." I placed down a few more slabs and front flipped off the side, landing feet first in front of them. I lost my balance and fell back before laughing, "I still don't have the footing right." I jumped back up and stood beside my best friends. John was acting like his old self with his little jokes and cheerful laugh. Nina was really close to him, making the drama before we were trapped in the bunker appear before my eyes. Sarah and Katey were being the usual litterers as Katey placed flowers all over the place while Sarah tossed an empty glass bottle over her shoulder. I scolded, "Sarah..."
She stopped eating the apple she had gotten from the tree that Hero had recently cut down, "what? You can get it." I then sighed and went to get it.
I put it in my pocket and came back, "we're going to be living here, so maybe instead of tripping everyone up, try keeping it inside your house."
She scoffed, "too much work..." And we continued talking about other stuff. And soon, word spread that Hero wanted to have a small meeting with all the members of the land. We went to the castle and gasped at how much work we have put into the castle. Banners flapped in the wind on the upper parts of the castle entrance as the entrance itself looked like the fence in the top of large opening can go down. As big as it looked outside, it was pretty small. It just felt that way to me.
Hero sat in one of the chairs with a diamond carved out of wood on the top of the chairs. Those that weren't part of the family were in similar chairs with an emerald at the top instead of a diamond. Magma and I sat beside each other and we looked at Hero for the announcement he wanted to give us. His burn marks were completely healed, so instead of scars or anything, his arm looked like nothing happened to it. Or I could be looking at the wrong arm. He announced, "I asked for everyone to come here because I have great news!" A little mumbling sounded around the table, I believe who are people who are wondering what are the good news. Hero then smiled brightly, "our homes are safe from the disaster that belongs outside. The only night-spawning mobs that spawn here will be only summoned by me, and it will only be for emergencies. There is an anti-spawning spell in the area of the homes, so no one has to be afraid of being killed by the night mobs!" The crowd cheered with joy. I was among those who were cheering. I didn't have to worry about my friends dying on me anymore. We all stood in happiness as two endermen teleported on either side of him. He then saw all the staring and laughed, "I summoned them. Have you ever wondered what it feels to look an enderman into the eye and not get attacked? It feels awesome!" Everyone then stared into the endermen's eyes and it stared back. They seemed to enjoy it until Hero tells them to look away before he releases the endermen and they get angry with us. They did and the endermen went their merry ways.
I mumbled, "and you just said that you're only going to summon them for emergencies..."
He looked down at me, then laughed, "today is the only exception. And that is to prove that I can do that."
Magma asked, "what about underground? Do they still spawn down there?"
He smiled, "glad you asked." He then got into his announcement voice, "those that we can access nearby through rather actually finding the entrance or digging down are also under the spell, so mine as much as you want."
"As long as you don't dig straight down, Hero." King blasted into the air. Everyone started laughing. And everything seemed to be happy for the first time since the drama began. Even Andrew had the heart to smile a little and clap with his dad. I then felt at peace, knowing that most likely, no war will rage for a very, very long time...
