I've been home for about a couple weeks now. And you know what? It's great! No, better than that! It's actually really been wonderful. Taylor had moved back a while before me. So we've been hanging out and having an awesome time. It's been such a trip to come back home and start hanging out with all my old friends again. I mean, the ones who didn't do drugs. The jocks and kids of that nature. Such a new experience.
And all this time, I haven't heard from Ryan. Not that I want to... It's just, I expected it.... But, I was right, he's changed. I still can't believe that. And I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about him. Because I have. Almost all the time. Taylor hasn't asked, and I won't tell. Then, I always get calls from Justin, like he's expecting something. But I don't know what. Like, is he expecting me to tell him that Ryan came after me, had a heart felt apology and just like the movies; I was going back to California and everything was sunshine and rainbows? I'm sorry, but that just doesn't happen. Like I said, just like the movies.
It was the day after I got home when I decided, 'hey, why sit at home and sulk when you could go shopping?' So I went to the mall. Just walking out of Zumiez when:
"Hey! Jordyn! Why didn't you tell me you were back!?!"
I turned to see Taylor smiling widely standing next to 5 others, 3 feet away. I smiled, "Hey!" I walked over and hugged him. "I just got back last night and honestly never thought of it."
"Sweet!" He smiled still. "You remember...." He motioned to the 5 others.
I laughed. "Of course!" I instantly hugged my best friend ever (before I left). "Joey!!"
"Hey, how have you been?" He hugged me with just as much enthusiasm as I had hugged him.
"Really good. A few bumps every now and then. But good."
"Awesome." He smiled brightly.
"Lily!......... Kristen!......... Nick!........... Alex!" I said hugging everyone else. We instantly got back to how we used to be. Shopping and talking animatedly about what had happened in the past year. They of course hadn't finished school yet. Still a couple weeks left.
We were walking past the watch kiosk when I stopped. "Hey guys." They stopped too. "Isn't that where the watches you all were looking at last time we came here, were??"
"Yeah, why?" Joey asked.
I ignored them and walked to the counter. Looking at the watches, I remembered exactly what it was they each wanted. It was like the faces of the watches had their names written on them. "Can I help you ma'am??" The man behind the counter had noticed me and asked.
"Yes, I would like the 42-20 Chrono in All Black, Black, and All White/Gold. The Ceramic 51-30 in Black-All 4 of those Men's. Then Women's, the 42-20 Chrono Crystal. The Zona in Black. And the 42-20 Chrono in Royal/Granite and All White Gold for myself. And please don't tell me you don't have any of those because I know for a fact that you always do." I slapped my Platinum card down.
He read the name on it and nodded, "of course Ms. Evander."
"Thank you." I smiled.
All the while, they were protesting behind me. "No! No, Jordyn. It's not necessary! You don't have to! You know how much those cost??!"
I turned and they silenced. "Yes. I know how much they cost. I want to buy these, you're my friends. I love you guys!"
"But they're all Nixon's!" Lily and Alex said together.
I nodded. "And! Do you know how much mine cost Jordyn!?!?!" Joey said, almost frantic.
I laughed harder. "Of course I do Joey!"
