She was his lifeline. He was her sanity.

SCOTT AND STILES found themselves at the clinic animal with Deaton. They asked Deaton to tell them about Valack and his experiments. Because according to what Stiles saw when he visited Lydia yesterday, Valack will carry out his experiments on her too.

"What I'm about to show you isn't supposed to exist." Deaton started. He placed a lot of pictures on the desk one by one. The pictures looked like to be a series of dead creatures. "This is the only surviving evidence of Doctor Valack's time as Chief Medical Officer of Eichen House. To call it human experimentation would be charitable."

Scott grabbed one of the pictures, showing a person with both of her hands over her ears.

Deaton looked at the picture as he spoke, "A Banshee. She died screaming."

"So, he drilled holes into their heads? All of them?" Stiles asked, referring to all the pictures.

"That was the experimentation part." Deaton answered. "He did it to Werewolves, Banshees, Wendigos, any creature he could get his hands on. And Valack found that trepanation would initially heighten their powers, but to levels that couldn't be contained."

"So, he wants to make Lydia more powerful." Scott pointed out.

"Yeah. Except she's going to end up like them." Stiles said as he looked at the pictures on the desk.

"Worse, actually." Deaton corrected. "Lydia's abilities were already pretty exceptional to begin with. Putting a hole in her head? Will be like causing a leak in a nuclear reactor. She'll hear everything. Every death, every dying scream, all at once."

"That's going to kill her." Scott said.

"Not only that," Deaton told. "Her own dying scream could be so powerful that it might kill everyone around her as well."

CASSANDRA WAS DRIVING with Gerard to the place that she really didn't know. It was still in Beacon Hills, but away from the hustle of the city. The place is like a long-abandoned. And none of the people living around the place.

"Why dad didn't come with us?"

"He'll catch up later." Gerard answered.

Cassandra stared at him for a second before back to the road, "You're not lying, right?"

"Of course, no. Why would I lie?"

"Because it looks like you don't want my dad involved in this."

"Technically, I don't want my son to die." He said.

Cassandra frowned, "What?"

"Imagine if you lose control, what will happen to your father if he's there?" Gerard asked. She just remained silent and focus on the road, and waited for what he would say next. "People will get hurt or die if they're near you, remember?"

She scoffed, "What about you? Are you going to die too?"

"I'm the only one who knows about your Black Hound, sweetheart. Of course I know how to survive."

"Last time I checked my mom, my dad, Allison and Kate knew about it."

"They only know you have the Black Hound inside you, but they don't really know the details." Gerard replied. "I know everything."

Cassandra tightened her grip on the steering wheel. She doesn't know his plans, but clearly she wasn't going to trust him again. However, what makes her more curious is why her father didn't go with them? Yesterday Chris had given a lot of advice on how to control the Black Hound to her, but why he didn't even participate now?
