I hope that I can turn back the time to make it all alright, all alright for us.❞

THE TUNNEL WAS completely quiet, the only sound was the water dripping. And her footsteps. Scott might be angry after finding out that Cassandra was looking for Corey and Mason alone. But she just didn't want to tell him, he was badly injured. He had to take a little break. After a few minutes of circling the tunnels, she found them asleep in each other's arms. She stared sadly at them, no one thought that Mason was the successful Chimera. The host of the Beast of Gevaudan.

Mason jerked awake, panting. He looked up at her as he stood up, "What are you doing here?"

"I'm the one who supposed to ask you that." Cassandra replied, crossing her arms.

Mason looked around frantically, "What are we doing here?"

"It was the only place I could think of." Corey answered.

He furrowed his eyebrows, "Wait, what do you mean?"

"Scott can't find you down here. He can't follow your scent." Corey said. "Except for her."

Cassandra scoffed, "Maybe you're wrong, Corey. This could be a very dangerous place for him to hide."

"Well, you got a better idea?" He asked, a little annoyed.

"Maybe if you would only listen to me-"

Mason cut them off, "Okay, hold on. It's not me."

"You sure about that?" Corey asked. "It was on the bus. After I made us disappear, I felt something. I don't know how to describe it, but it felt wrong. Completely and totally wrong. And, trust me, every other second I'm with you is completely and totally right."

"It can't be me."

"I knew what I had seen earlier." Cassandra intercepted. "And Allison also told me."

Mason knitted his eyebrows. "Allison your late twin sister?"

"Believe me or not, I met her when I was considered dead by everyone." She told him.

"After we left the bus, I lost you at the game, remember? Where did you go?"

"I went to- I was-" Mason stuttered.

"All those times you said the Beast showed up? Everything you said about frequencies. Where were you all those times?" Corey asked. "The night at the transmission towers, the observatory downtown, the army base. All the times there were transmissions, you always disappeared." He explained. "So, I brought you here."

"Brought him to this place doesn't guarantee his safety." Cassandra interrupted. "We all know someone would have been able to find him."

"Wait." Mason's eyes widened in realization. "They can still find me. They can find me by frequency."

"Who? Scott?"

"No, them."

"The Dread Doctors." Cassandra stated.

Right after she said that, rattling sound was heard. They looked around, and shortly after, one of them emerging from the other tunnel. And another one emerged from the tunnel behind them. They decided to run to find a way out. However, they found the other Dread Doctor in another tunnel, making them stuck.

"This way!" Cassandra shouted, running to another tunnel.

They all ran, until they find the stairs to get out of this tunnel. Corey climbed the stairs first. Cassandra heard one of the Dread Doctors were calling Mason's name and he seemed stunned by it. So, she snatched his hand and looked at him.
