(A/N) Okay so I was like "hey lets do like a apocalyptic type fic" So I'm gonna do like an oneshot prologue type thing and if I have enough energy and encouragement I'll start a fanfic w the boys. The italic writing is a flashback to a conversation about a week before the game

Initially, the lights would gently rock from the ceiling. A slight way back and forth. Hardly anyone noticed, the game continued on uninterrupted.

That is, until Oikawa stopped completely in the middle of a play. He planted his feet off the net a bit, waiting for the receive to drop into his ready hands.

He raised his hands as the ball rebounded off of Watari's arms. He followed the ball with his eyes, taking a slight step back and to the left, as it lofted into his fingers. His eyes caught the flicker of light above, and the ball slipped through and bounced off his forehead, and silence swallowed the room.

The only noise the could be heard for seconds was the repetitive sound of the ball bouncing on the ground.

"Iwa-Chan, I've been using the telescope you gave me for my birthday." Oikawa exclaimed, spinning his chair in circles and staring at the ceiling.

"Oh? Yeah, that's good. Does it work alright?" Iwaizumi muttered back.

"Mm-hm, and I've found something. Something... Extraterrestrial..." Oikawa said slowly, testing the waters of Iwaizumi's emotions. He skimmed his feet across the ground to slow his spin to a stop.

Iwaizumi groaned.
~
"Tooru, you piece of trash!" Iwaizumi yelled. "What the actual fuck are you doing?"

Oikawa's hands remained stiff, he hardly held any reaction. His breathing remained smooth. Had he been right?

It was just the air vents.

It had to be just the air vents.
~
"You piece of trash, what are you even talking about?" Iwaizumi rolled from his back to his stomach on Oikawa's bed.

"I'm talking about observing stars, Iwa-chan." Oikawa said, his voice very matter-of-factly. "I'm talking about the movement of stars."

Iwaizumi's eyes narrowed and he turned his head. "What're you talking about? Stars don't move."

"Exactly." Oikawa said, his eyes darted from the ceiling to Iwaizumi. "It's impossible. But I've found a star that shouldn't exist. A star that is getting closer by the day."
~
Karasuno erupted into screams of joy. They ran into a large group, all cheering.

Kageyama Tobio remained to the side, staring at Oikawa, apparently noticing the sudden difference. Tanaka turned and slapped his back heartily.

The game had been incredibly close, and at the breaking point Oikawa's guard visibly disappeared.

Iwaizumi sprinted to Oikawa, and gripped his shoulders. "You just gave them a point! What're you thinking?!" He yelled.

Oikawa, apparently oblivious to anything, dropped his hands to his sides. His eyes remained trained on the lights, hanging down by their cords.

The shifting morphed into swaying violently.
~
"A dwarf planet can have a moon, and the moon can cause the planet to move around as it orbits, due to similarities in density and mass, and gravitational pull. One night, a new star appeared out my window. I thought I was something I missed because it was so dim, but about a week later, it shifted a few millimeters to the left and grew exponentially. I thought it was something to do with Doppler Spectroscopy but, it was simply implausible."

Iwaizumi sighed as Oikawa began his scientific tangent. "Okay, and? What is your point?"

"My point is that this particular piece of inorganic matter is not a planet, nor is it a star. I began to believe it was an asteroid of incredible size and speed, something catapulting from an implosion of a dead star, but I've ruled out the possibility."

"God dammit, Oikawa, get on with it."

"I'm telling you that it's not a star. It isn't a planet, asteroid, or a comet. It is nothing planetary, and it's most definitely not a black hole." Oikawa rambling came to an end abruptly.

Iwaizumi's eyes crept to the size of saucers. "What're you saying..." He demanded.

"I'm saying that I'm right. Aliens are real. And I think they're heading right at us."

Karasuno's jumping was enough to rumble across the court, sure, but the ceiling began to creak, and toward the back of the gym a light snapped and crashed to the floor.

The team of Nekoma's chattering fell silent, and Fukurodani's players who were refereeing stopped.

Oikawa's eyes widened.

The floor grumbled and growled, the entire building began to shake.

"Everyone! We need to evacuate now! There's an earthquake!" Daichi bellowed, and began ushering people towards the exit.

"Alright, let's get he fuck out of here!" Kuroo said, as he and Yaku herded their players toward the door.

Akaashi stood calmly, pushing himself up from the table. "C'mon, we should go." He calmly moved toward the exit and Bokuto bounced along behind him.

"Oikawa, let's go!" Iwaizumi shook Oikawa from his revere.

His eyes fell into Iwaizumi's. He blinked, and his eyes pinned. "Holy fucking shit," Oikawa yelled. He pushed out of Iwaizumi's arms and sprinted towards the exit.

He pushed through the small crowd of volleyball players, and almost tripped onto his face. He stumbled forward, using his hands to push back up.

Outside, bright lights pulsed from behind the building. He jogged down the stairs and rounded the corner. Out on the vast open field was a giant metallic object. It dropped down, as if in slow motion.

"They're here." He muttered in awe, and everyone clustered behind him, screaming and calling out.

(A/N) Omg writing this made me excited. I think I'll do a full fic even if y'all don't read it for fun.
