(A/N) So this was requested by the ever so lovely MommaSuga . so I'm kinda laughing at myself because I think this is cute in an awkward way. It's kinda based off that episode where Kageyama like drilled Kenma (with questions about volleyball) So I hope you enjoy!!

If it were scientifically possible, holes would have drilled deep in the back of Kenma Kozume's skull. After the onslaught of questions pelted at him by Kageyama Tobio, the setter at Karasuno High, he was ushered away by Kuroo.

"I could tell he was making you uncomfortable then, but what's wrong with you now?" Kuroo whispered, and they wrapped the net systematically, and Kuroo lifted the pole from the hole in the gym and carried it to the rack.

Kenma shrugged, spinning the crank in his hand. His fingers itched to play his game, and worrying Kuroo with Kageyama's staring problem would detract from his time. Kuroo narrowed his eyes, and chewed on his lip.

"Are you sure? You're acting a little strange." Kuroo muttered as pushed down his knee pads.

Only Kuroo would notice the slight changes in Kenma. "I'm good, Kuroo." He mumbled and shuffled away.

Kuroo grunted in response as he pushed rack to the storage closet. Kenma lifted his bag and immediately found his bag and zoned out in his game. He slid down the wall and sat at the base, deep in thought about the game, and other things of course.

When they played Karasuno, he felt a little more... awake than usual. Aware of more sensations and emotions. He felt like an actual living person compared to his half active state. Initially, he thought it was simply Hinata, his energy and outgoing personality contagious, even to an introvert like Kenma.

Now, at this silly training camp that made Kenma way to tired, he noticed it was something else.

The first time he and Kageyama had happened to be alone was on the very first day. They had sat awkwardly at the cafeteria tables. Kageyama came in and took a seat beside him.

Kenma didn't mind the company. Not at all.

"Why do you get up so early?" Kageyama says quietly.

Kenma takes a bite of his rice, chewing thoughtfully, although his expression never alters. "I don't know. I don't need much sleep. I'd prefer to play."

"Play? Do you mean volleyball?" Kageyama tilts his head and his eyes, usually cold and calculating and now calm and curious, meet Kenma's.

Kenma blinks slowly, tearing his eyes away immediately and blushing from the almost too intimate eye contact. Kenma didn't make eye contact.

"N-No..." He murmurs. "I like to play my video games and such..." He watches Kageyama's brows raise from the corner of his eyes. "Well, I'm going to get ready now." Kenma says, standing abruptly and leaving.

The odd encounter between Kageyama and he that morning left a lasting impression on Kenma's mood, and apparently Kageyama's memory.

Did he anger Kageyama? He hoped not.

He actually... He actually enjoyed Kageyama... Just a little bit.

He liked when Kageyama wasn't playing or paying attention to anything, he was nice to look at. Kenma didn't mind these thoughts about boys at all though. He always seemed to prefer them.

His dark blue glare didn't intimidate Kenma, but interested him. Once, Kenma caught the piercing stare through the net, and Kageyama's eyes melted into water rather than ice as they panted and dripped in sweat. The world dropped away as well.

Kageyama only looked away and reality built back around them once Hinata jumped on him about his tosses.

His ears tuned in once someone nudged his knee.

Crouched next to him, Hinata beamed. "Kenma-kun, it's time to eat!! I think they have meat tonight!" He exclaimed, grabbing Kenma's shoulder.

Kenma paused his game and looked over to Hinata and nodded. He stood and Hinata jumped excitedly, running ahead. Kenma sighed and followed after slowly.

He heard Hinata babbling excitedly to someone just outside the gym, and stepped out the doors.

Hinata shifted to the side of Kageyama, and grinned. "C'mon, you slow pokes!" He giggled and sprinted forward a few steps.

Kenma stared into Kageyama's eyes, wondering what he could be thinking. When he noticed the slight draw of Kageyama's brows, he flushed furiously and his eyes fell away.

"Um.." Kageyama began softly, pouting his lips and looking off to the side. "Will you meet me here later? After dinner? I'd like to speak with you..."

Kenma nodded slightly, brushing a strand of hair behind his ear.

"Okay..." Kageyama said, before his face contorted with annoyance at the yelps of Hinata. "I HEAR YOU DUMBASS!" He growled, sprinting after the boy. "I'm not gonna loose!"

It was about 10 o'clock that night when Kenma approached Kageyama sitting on the steps leading into the gym.

He had his hand shoved in his jacket pockets and he crept to Kageyama's side, and sat slowly.

"Hi.." Kageyama stuttered out, his eyes anxiously darting from Kenma to some random item.

"Yes? You needed to talk with me?" He said nonchalantly, but his heart beat betrayed him. He felt nervous about the idea that it could thump out of his chest.

Or even worse.

Kageyama would notice.

"Uh, y-yeah, I did." He stammered. "I-I mean, I do, still... Need to talk to you."

Kenma's lips curled lightly at the corners. He eyed Kageyama, almost teasingly. "Yes, Kageyama-chan, I know that." He said lowly.

Kageyama's eyes widened and his cheeks flushed red. "Oh, um yeah! I wanted to ask you who you like."

Kenma blinked, his smile dropping away. "Why?"

Kageyama seemed a bit taken aback, and grabbed his wrapped his palms under his thighs. "Oh, I just thought you might like me..." He blatantly said, staring at cracks in the concrete.

Kenma sputtered, his eyes widening and lips parting. "W-Why would you ever think something like that?" Kenma raised his voice slightly, exasperated. Could he tell Kenma's interest in Kageyama spanned further from volleyball?

"Don't get mad! I don't wanna make you mad! I just... I'm wondering... 'Cause I kind of think I like you."

Kenma's mouth dropped open completely. That was unexpected. And awkward. "Woah... Direct to the max, Kageyama-chan...."

Kageyama's eyes widened and he stood up and took a few steps back. "Uh-Erm...  I didn't mean it like that-... I mean I-..." He searched for words and looked away, his voice cracking and face as red as Kenma's jacket.

Kenma stood leisurely, and closed the space between him and Kageyama tentatively, who didn't seem to notice through his panic. His lips twitched in a smile, and stood on his tippy toes. He curled Kageyama's shirt in his fingers and pressed his lips against Kageyama's cheek, who shut up immediately.

Kenma dropped back flat onto his feet and looked down. "Kageyama-chan... I like you too..."

(A/N) Wow it's short and its cliff hangery but I may just continue it later on I don't know.
