"Sebastian Michaelis..." I mutter to myself.

Looking over the updated version of my attendance sheet, I see that there is a new name added at the bottom. This is nothing unusual, given how big this school is - I actually have quite a few new names on here - but for some reason this one in particular stands out the most. The boys name rolls nicely off the tongue, having a good flow to it.

"Sebastian..." I say again.

I like the sound of it.

I immediately shake my head, laughing at myself. What am I doing? Saying some kid's name like this, just because I like the way it sounds. I'm only saying it because it's interesting, a name you don't hear often. Right, that's all.

My head turns to the simple black clock on the wall and I sigh, making my way over to open the classroom door. My students should be arriving any minute now when the bell rings, and I'm curious to become acquainted with the new ones. If I remember correctly, there were three unknown names on the rouster, so I'm a bit excited.

For all of them, of course.

About two minutes later, the bell sounds and doors down the hallway slam open, teenagers pouring out in a rush to talk to their friends and get to their next class in time. Good luck with that. When I was in school I remember never having enough time to even see my friends in the hallway, let alone talk to them. But who knows.

I still have multiple students late to my class every day though, so let me tell you that it won't be a surprise if only half of the kids show up on time.

A few minutes later when the final bell rings, my point was proven correct when I only see about 12 people at the desks. As usual, part of my daily routine, I wait an extra five minutes or so as the rest of them come in, along with a few new faces.

Here we go.

"Alright, alright. Settle down, everyone. It seems that we have a few new students joining this class, so I expect you all to be pleasant, and make them feel welcome." I say with a smile.

That's bullshit.

These kids are assholes.

You might think that teachers shouldn't talk about their students like this, but really. We know how kids are. I mean, not that long ago I was in highschool so I know what I'm talking about.

Sure, I was the small kid getting picked on by said assholes, but that's not the point.

The point is, they're dicks.

Yes, there are the cliché good kids, the smart ones, getting all a's, and to be honest those are my favorite kind of students. They're respectful, quiet, and they don't cause any trouble.

And then you have your popular, good looking jocks who are the...ditzy ones, to say the least.

One of the boys, Ronald, once asked me how to spell the word orange. Not the fruit, might I add, the color. How he got into English honors I have no idea.
