•Matt's Pov•

I watched Maddy as she excitedly walked around the fair with me she looked like a little puppy just seeing its owner and being over the moon happy. she was so adorable, and she didn't even know it.

I can understand how she's never been to the fair, I mean what child hasn't. Going to the fair was literally the best thing of my whole childhood.

As we walked towards the first ride -which she chose- I started to get a nervous feeling in my stomach, not because of the butterflies -which of course I had whenever I was around her- it was mainly because of the massive rollercoaster we're about to go on.

Let's just say, me and rollercoasters don't go well together. But I was never going to tell Maddy that.

"This ride looks so fun!" Maddy squealed, not an annoying squeal just a cute/excited kind of squeal.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the rollercoasters line which was pretty short considering it wasn't a packed day.

"Are you sure you're right to go on this? I mean it's your first ride and it looks a little too... big for you." I said trying not to sound nervous, hoping for her to admit she's scared, saving me from going on the ride.

"Oh come on Matt, don't tell me you're scared of rollercoasters." She said turning around to face me, her face was lit with amusement.

"N-no I'm not!" I stated trying to sound tough, which apparently didn't work as a look of pure disbelief sat across her face.

"Fine. We'll go on something else." she said looking around for other options. "Ooh how about the tea cups?" She asked.

I gave her an 'are you serious?' Look which she responded with a toothy grin.

I groaned but smiled anyway as we walked towards the line for the tea cups. I saw other people around our age that were walking around the fair, judging us. I even heard one of the little girls in front of us in line ask their mother why big kids were going on the teacups. Though, Maddy didn't seem to notice. Even if she did she sure as hell didn't seem care.

We waited another 10 minutes before we finally got to the front of the line, who knew the tea cups were so popular? Not me.

"Are you a group of three?" The rides worker asked motioning to a young boy in front of us and Maddy and I.

I was just about to explain that I was with just Maddy when I noticed that the boy was alone in the line. After deciding that it's not fun for anyone to be on a ride alone, I spoke up.

"Yeah we're together." I smiled at the lady who smiled back at us and led us to a pink teacup with blue flowers printed all over it. Maddy didn't seem to question my choice, and I wondered if she understood why I did it.

The boy looked a little frightened as to being in a tea cup with two strangers. So I tried to put my friendliest smile on. Which by the looks of his facial expression, frightened him even more.

"Hey, I'm Maddy, and this is Matt." Maddy said smiling welcomingly at the boy, who sent her a cute toothy grin back, I noticed he was missing his two front teeth. "We just thought you might want to ride with us so you weren't alone."

So she did know why I did it.

"Hi. I'm Ben." He finally spoke. "You're really pretty." Ben said moving to sit beside Maddy, this little boy has game. Maddy smiled at Ben before thanking him.

"Are you guys ready for the ride to begin?" The ride operator asked enthusiastically.

Cheers of Yes' erupted from all the little kids on the ride, and as the ride started, quite slowly I might add, squeals and giggles was all I heard.

As I looked at Maddy her face was lit up brightly, she was looking at Ben to see if he was enjoying it too. Which he was, he was giggling too whilst mumbling something along the lines of 'this is so fun' to Maddy.

As Maddy and I left, she thanked me once more for taking her to the fair saying it was of the best days of her life. I welcomed her again as we walked towards the beach, which was pretty close to where the fair was.

The day had to be one of the best for me too. I loved the fair already, but Maddy made the whole 'fair experience' way better.

My favourite part of the day would have to be watching her smile or laugh as we rode on the rides. Although most of the times she was laughing was because of my screaming whilst we rode one of the big rollercoasters, which she forced me into riding.

We walked along the beach in a comfortable silence. I wanted to grab her hand and hold it in mine so bad, but me being the awkward person I am, decided not to. Too scared of the possible rejection if I did grab her hand.

"Do you wanna, um catch a taxi back to the hotel now?" I asked awkwardly breaking the silence after a while. There goes the comfortable silence.

"Sure." She responded looking as if she just got woken from deep thoughts.

We walked up to the footpath along the side of the road, before calling the taxi company to get a cab to pick us up. Shortly after, the taxi arrived.

As we got out of the taxi, I noticed Maddy's phone start ringing.

"Hold up one sec. Jack's ringing me." She said, just as I was about to ask which Jack she answered the call.

"Yes Jack. Yeah. Did you not see the text? Oh you did. Then why'd you ask where I was? Yeah well. Okay. Well, I'm back now. Just got back. Just out the front. Why do you need to come down if I'll see you in a sec? Ugh okay. Yep sure. See you in a sec. Bye." She spoke talking and answering him.

"Which Jack was that?" I asked interested, I assumed Johnson as he was her proper brother. But then again after the other night Gilinsky seemed to be pretty overprotective of her, or jealous of me. I wasn't sure which one yet.

"Gilinsky, and he's coming down now to say hi to us." She said rolling her eyes as I laughed.
