Maddy's Pov•

"So where to hide?" I ask looking around the lobby.

"Um hmm..." Gilinsky says thinking.

"Oh I got it, the pool!" Gilinsky says excitedly.

"But would that count as going out of the hotel?" I ask slightly unsure.

"Well, it's technically a part of the hotel so I think it should be fine." Jack explains as he looks over at me for a split second before turning his head away super quickly. Weird.

"Let's get to the pool then." I smile at Jack whilst he gives a toothy grin back.

As we walked out towards the pool area we noticed the pool wasn't occupied by anyone else at all. This seems like a pretty popular hotel, I wonder why no one would be using the pool.

"We're not going in the pool right?" I ask, considering both of us were dressed in normal clothes.

"Nah, we can just hide out on the chairs for now." Jack said pointing over to chairs which were excluded from the rest of the pool area, yet still within the fence.

There was a table in front of both chairs with one of those fancy table clothes draped over the top, reaching the floor.

I guess this table is excluded away from the pool for eating.

We sat down on the chairs, whilst I let my eyes wander around the pool area. I turned back to Jack noticing his silence. I noticed he was staring straight at me, he quickly averted his eyes before smacking my head.

"Uh you had a mosquito on your head. It's dead now." He said speaking super fast.

"Jack you bloody idiot!" I said faking being hurt, although the hit wasn't even that hard.

"Oh shit Maddy! I'm so sorry. I'm so fucking sorry. Oh shit. I-uh Maddy I didn't mean to hurt you-" he spoke anxiously, loud and quick.

"I can hear noise coming from outside." I heard a muffled voice talk, and Jack seemed to hear it too.

"Quick under here!" Jack says whispering loudly, defeating the purpose of whispering.

We both dive under the table cloth. It wasn't completely roomy but at least we weren't crammed in hurting our necks.

Jack and I heard the pool gate open and adrenaline pumped throughout me. Yes, a game of tiggy can do this to me.

"Dude there's like no one here." I heard Nash's voice ring out.

"But I could've sworn I heard shouting." Another voice spoke, this time I think it was Carter. Well obviously Nash has been tagged then.

I looked over at Jack frantically and he did the same.

"It's a hotel dude, you could hear shouting and loud noise anywhere. No come on we gotta actually find people. Next stop." Nash said.

I was looking through the bottom of the table cloth, noticing that the boys were leaning against the gate scanning over the area one more time before turning and leaving.

Jack didn't speak and neither did I. I was going to wait until they'd gone inside the hotel doors before doing anything. When I saw they made it, I took my chance to speak.

"Jack you're so loud, we nearly got caught." I said trying to be mad, but failing cause I had a smile on my face.

"Hey I like it loud!" Jack said speaking before he could think.

"Oh."

"I like loud talking I mean! Yeah loud talking." Jack said unsure at whether that sounded better.

"I so should've filmed that." I said laughing hysterically, whilst trying to cover my mouth with my hand so I wasn't heard by anyone. Didn't exactly work though.

"Maddy. Maddy, shush we'll get caught." Jack said laughing at me laughing whilst trying to be serious.

"Bu-But it's so fun-ny." I said laughing but trying to stop.

"I told you there's someone out here!" Carter yelled and we heard footsteps running towards the pool gate. They must've been waiting just inside the hotel near the door.

That should've been enough for me to stop laughing, but I just couldn't hold it. Jack couldn't seem to either. Except he was trying his hardest to stop. He managed to finally, I still had muffled giggles.

He looked deep in thought, as if questioning to do something. Before he looked at me, he stared right at my eyes for a millisecond before his eyes flicked to my lips.

I wasn't laughing anymore.

He leant forward, placing his lips upon mine. He kissed me softly, and sweetly. I was in complete shock.

I didn't kiss back. I kind of just sat there wide eyed. Although for some reason I had a strong urge to shut my eyes and kiss him back.

His sweet kiss lasted for about 3 seconds, before he pulled back and scratched his neck. It was weird, I missed his lips on mine.

"I got you to be quiet." Jack whispered looking anywhere but me. Sadness was laced in his voice although I know he tried to hide it. Oh

Oh. He only did that to shut me up.

"Oh." Was all I could say.

Was it bad that it made me sad that he only did that to keep me quiet. I didn't understand why I felt this way. I don't know what came over me to make me miss his lips like that.

And I did miss his lips. For some strange reason, I wanted to grab his face and kiss him again. But this time I'd kiss back.

His kiss felt so right...was that wrong?

Why do I suddenly have all these overwhelming feelings towards Jack...
