Chapter 4

Zoe's P.O.V

I woke up with the worst headache you can Ever imagine. I walked to the bathroom took a hot shower then got dressed went to the Nightstand.I picked up my phone sat on the edge

Of the bed and saw a text from Ryan.

It says "Hey I wanted to check up on you how's your head?" I text him back telling him "It hurts like shit! But thanx for checking : )

He sends a text back saying "Hey I'm not doing anything wanna go get breakfast?"I text "Sure where at?" he text saying "How about Bob Evans?" I text "Yeah I'll meet you there :) he text back saying "Actually I wanted to come pick you up? ;)

I feel so happy seeing that text. I say "Ok what time?" He said 10:00? I text saying "See you then!"

I put my phone down. I thought I was gonna stay home and be in my PJ's and watch tv. I was wearing them. so I put on my brown tank top then some jeans. I dont think I need to dress fancy. So I dressed casual and put on my black converses got my purse and went down stairs.

Went to my couch watched a little NCIS. I found out I love this show. After a few more minutes I hear the door bell ring.

My heart starts to beat so fast. I don't know why? I open the door there stood Ryan. He was wearing dark blue jeans a grey shirt and leather jacket with black converses as well. I start laughing. He looks at me like what's so funny?

I point down to our feet. He looks down and laughs too. Then he says "Well it looks like we both have good taste in shoes." He winks and my heart stops. I blush really red. What is he doing to me?

He says "Shalll we?" With the most amazing smile. And has his hand out the door. I nod and say "Yes" I shut the door. I didn't lock it cause it locks itself.

we walk to the elevators then we get inside and Ryan bends to press the button, while he was bending I look at his hair. I wonder what it feels like?

We get out walk to his Cadillac and before he gets in the drivers seat he opens the passengers side. I tell him "Thank you" He gets inside we drive off.

As we get there. I see theres not many people in the Parking lot but maybe five cars? We didn't talk at all in the car. It was just silent.

We park we walk in. I saw this girl maybe 17? She has this huge smile? I didn't know why? Then I look at Ryan he was telling the waiter "Table for two" then the waiter took us to the back.

There are 3 people staring. I felt unconterfable it felt awkward being stared at. As we were sitting down. I ask Ryan "Why is everyone staring?" He says "Do you like OneRepublic?" I say "Yeah why?"

I stare at him then it hits me like I've been slapped in the face. I just stare at him longer and have my mouth open flopping like a fish. I say "No way You can't be Ryan Tedder?!"

He looks at me and says "Yeah I am, last time I checked." He winks then laugh asks "How did you not know?" I tell him "So that's why you looked familiar! I just couldn't find out why?"

He smiles then says "What are you gonna order?" I didn't notice the waiter came up? His name tag said Hank. I tell him I'll have a coke. He says "What would you like to eat?" I say "I'll have eggs with toasted bread then he then he says is that all? I tell him "yes"

He turns to Ryan. Ryan says "I'll have the same." Then the waiter leaves and Ryan says "So Zoe what do you do?" I look and can't believe I'm here with Ryan Tedder! And he remembers my name!

I tell him "I work at Ellie I'm a music producer." He says "That's cool, I went to Ellie too and did some music there." then Hank comes back with our food. We eat then talk bout how Ryan became famous. He would ask me couple questions like "Why did you move to New York City?" I say "Well I got sick of L.A and it's not really clean like the windows were dirty all the time. I wanted to go somewhere else." He says "Yeah when I lived there that what was one of the problems for me too."

We finished. Then stayed a little longer ordered a large ice cream Sunday just one. Ryan and I shared it with our spoons and as we were eating he started says "Zoe do you have any family?" I tell him "well my mom lives in L.A my dad died in a car crash when i was ten." Ryan looks sad then says "I'm sorry" I tell him"It's ok wasn't your fault."

We finish the sunday Ryan asks "Ready to go?" I get up and get my purse and say "Ready and smile.

We get in the car. I turn on the radio and blurred lines by Robin Thick comes on. I start to sing and Ryan looks at me with this huge smile. I say "what?" He says you sing good! I look at him and say "Yeah right!" I laugh and tell him "I sing bad what are you talking about!?"

He looks at me serious and says "It's true your really good." I say "Thank you"

We get to the hotel. I think was this a first date? No why would he do that?

I risk it, I ask "I had fun but was this a first date?" He says "No I thought I wasn't your type?" He winks. I look and feel myself blushing. I don't know what to say?

I smile and say this "I'm still deciding and winked back. He smiles and says "Sleep well Zoe, night." I wave bye and go inside.
