Chapter 12

Zoe's P.O.V

Ryan comes back with our coffees sits down. He hands mine to me. I say "Thank you" he looks at me and says "your welcome, now where were we?"

Then I tell him "we were at the part where you want to help me." He says " yes, Zoe do you trust me at all to let me know what happened?" I say "yes and I'm going to tell you the whole truth from the begining."

He smiles Then he tells me " well go on tell me Zo." While taking a drink from his coffee. I smile he called me Zo weird no ones ever called my name Zo before.

I clear my throat and take a sip from my coffee. Man that taste really good mm oh yeah back to Ryan.

I ask him "remember when you sa me at Brian's bar three weeks ago?" He says "yeah why?" I tell him "well I went there for a reason."

He starts giving this look to go on so I tell him " well I was at the movies with my friend Kim and we were getting tickets, I pause for a moment. "I had a boyfriend at that time." I pause again Ryan says " go on Zoe you can tell me." Giving me another smile. I say "when I was at the movies that night. I saw this man that looked very familiar , he was with a woman. As me and Kim were taking our seats.

I saw the man again and I found out why he looked familiar." I start to get teary while looking at Ryan he starts to get sad and hold out  his left hand out on the table. I put my little right hand in his. I feel those shocks again but it doesn't annoy me anymore.

His hand is very warm while mine is very cold. Then he says "It's ok Zoe." While giving me a reassuring smile.

" He was my boyfriend Chris I was with him for 2 years, seeing him with a another woman it felt like my world ended and my Heart felt like it was ripped out of my chest!

I kept thinking why would he cheat on me? Ryan rubs my hand with his thumb back and forth. I go on " So that night when I came home from what I saw. I packed everything I had in there and put it in a suitcase, I waited until he got home I asked him where he was?"

You know what he told me?!" Ryan looks broken and asks " what did he say?"

"He said he went to a friends house , they had a party going on. I yelled at him telling him I knew he wasn't that I saw him at the movies! With a slut!" Then I tried to leave but he wouldn't let me!"

Ryan looked mad like he wanted to kill something. I'm getting scared the way he's looking. But he tells me to continue and so I did. "I punched him in the face." Ryan says "At a girl!" I smile it feels good to tell him all this.

"I ran to my car and went to the bar to get my mind off Chris, and that's when you came Mr. Tedder."

Ryan smiles and  says "yeah when I asked you why you were there you told me you just needed a drink , I didn't believe you ,I know their was more to it then that."

I'm shocked he did know something was up. Then he says "But that still doesn't explain why you were about to jump off that bridge."

I take a deep breath and close my eyes here I go.  I'm gonna tell him. I hope he understands. I open my eyes and Ryan's waiting on my answer. I tell him

" After I broke up with my boyfriend ,I rented a hotel room and stayed there , on Monday I went to work I kept having a bad feeling something was going to happen."

Ryan looks confused. I continue "when I got to my job my boss told me they took a vote to fire someone I was chosen , after I lost my boyfriend and then my job?" I couldn't live anymore cause everything I loved was gone! I had nothing left I fell into a deep depression and kept drinking! So I went out for a ride ,then I saw this pretty bridge and before I knew it I was on top of it ready to jump and end eventing1

I told myself no one would care if I died so I went and tried to take my life away." Ryan had tears in his eyes now.

He gets up from his seat and walks to mine and hugs me tight. I cry in his arms. I don't care if people are staring it feels good to cry let it all out and be in his arms.

He moves me over to the right side of the seat and sits close to me still hugging me. Then after a few minutes he looks into my eyes. I see passion, and love.

"Zoe don't ever try and take you life away! I know you hit rock bottom but that doesn't mean kill to  yourself!" And it's not true no one would care if you died cause I would! I I will care a whole lot then that asshole,

" Zoe listen to me you have me! I'm here forever and so happy. I came in time to stop you I'm glad I can hold you in my arms please don't ever think about killing yourself cause you know what?"

He says this while taking strands of my hair and putting them behind my ear. "I would go crazy if I ever lost you!"

I smile he really dose care. I can see it in his eyes I'm happy he saved me I'm not mad anymore I can't be. After Ryan told me he cares and doesn't want to lose me and I have him to lean on. I'm so happy right now.

I hug him tight and he dose the same. I tell him "Thank you Ryan for not giving up on me." He says "Your welcome but promise me something can you?" I tell him "Anything just ask me." He pulls out of the hug and looks deep into my eyes.

"No more drinking and trying to kill yourself ok?" I smile big and say " Ok I will stop all of it." He smiles back. And kiss my forehead leaving shocks there.
