Three Paws

As I laid in my damp box, I wondered to myself... Why did I ever leave Limber and Rambi behind? It was stupid of me to do so. I left them right as a storm was about to completely destroy they're camp. It's not fair to them. I shouldn't of done it. I should of stayed with them... Help clean up... Help them get through that tragic storm.
But no. I was to ignorant to think of anybody else but me.

I decided to finally get out of my box, fore the rain had stopped. As I crawled out, I felt a thump above my head. Something was on the bench above me. I quickly crawled back into my box.
I heard another thump, then a soft growl. I knew this wasn't one of The Skins... or as I've learned to call them; humans.

I didn't make a noise. I wasn't sure whether or not the creature knew I was there.

As I sat quietly, I thought to myself. What would Limber and Rambi do? They were the bravest creatures I had ever met. I was sure that they would come out and confront the weird creature above my head. So, I decided to finally confront the creature. It can't be anything bad, right?

I slowly started to creep out of the discomfort of my box. I started to slowly look up at the top of the bench. The first thing that I saw was two gleaming, glowing eyes, staring at me.
As I stared back, the creature stood up and bounced down from the bench. I creature stood in front of me. I looked down at it's paws, only to notice that it was missing a leg.

"H-hello?" I said, hesitating.
"What are you looking at?" Said the creature.
I gulped.
"I... I just noticed that you had only three legs. Three paws." I replied.
There was a bit of awkward silence.
"My name's Koar." Said the creature.
"N-nice to meet you, Koar." I said. "My n-n-name's Dog."
We both just stared at each other, not talking.

After a while, Koar finally broke the silence.
"W-well, it was nice to meet you, Dog. But I gotta get going. Bye" He said to me with a big grin on his face.

As he walked away, I couldn't help but notice that he looked ever so familiar. Why?
Well, he was gone now.

My eyes slowly drifted into sleep as the sun went to bed. I tilted my head onto a rock with some soft moss on it, hoping to start my quest again in the morning.
But as I slept, I couldn't get Koar out of my head.
