I woke up to my alarm screaming at me. God, I hate that thing sometimes. I got up and went into the bathroom to have a shower and attempt to wake myself up. After the shower I wrapped a towel around my body and walked into my wardrobe to pick out my outfit for the day.
I settled on a pair of dark blue shorts, a black tank top with an American heart printed on it. A pair of boots and some accessories. (OUTFIT IN PICTURE ABOVE). Suddenly I heard shouting downstairs, I quickly grabbed my leather jacket and sprinted downstairs to see what the fuss was about.
I ran into the living room and saw dad on top of a struggling Hunter on the floor. "What the bloody hell is going on" I screamed. Their faces snapped towards me and I saw anger filled in my father's eyes. "Alex help me, your dad is phyco" Hunter chocked out under my father's grip.
"Dad let him go" I said tiredly. "You know this boy?" dad questioned with confusion.
"Yes, now get off him" I said. Dad was hesitant but loosened his grip and got off Hunter. Hunter chocked and tried to regain his breathing. I quickly ran towards Hunter to see the damage my father made. Only a few scratch and bruises, should be healed in a few days. "What is he doing in my house?" dad questioned with rage, lacing in his voice.
"He came by the house last night drunk out of his mind, I let his crash on the couch for him to sober up before he hurt himself" I said while helping Hunter get off the floor. "Yeah sorry about that" Hunter coughed. I guided him towards the kitchen to get him some water for his dry throat. Dad obviously followed, keeping an eye on a coughing Hunter. I got some water from the fridge, along with an ice pack for his bruises. I walked back to Hunter, who was sitting on the kitchen stool and gave him the water and ice pack. "Cheers" Hunter thanked. I nodded my head and turned to face dad.
"So, would you like to explain why you were chocking Hunter?" I said and folded my arms across my chest. My dad sighed and headed towards the coffee machine to switch it on. "Dad" I said sternly. "Reflex?" dad said but more like questioned. He wasn't going to tell me the true reason why, but I'll get it out of him soon enough. It can't be because he's a boy because I've had plenty of old friends that are male crash on our couch without my father's consent, and he was fine with it. For some reason he has a problem with Hunter and I'm going to find out what.
"We better get to school or were going to be late, you think you could survive the day" I asked. Hunter nodded "yeah I've gone to school in worse conditions, I'll be fine" Hunter whispered. He must have a hangover and the attack from my father didn't help. "Ok, dad we're off, try not to kill any more of my friends while I'm gone" I said to dad. "Yeah ok" dad snorted and took his coffee, then heading towards his office.
"Ok did you bring your bike last night?" I asked Hunter. "No, I got the bus last night" Hunter said then took another sip of his water. "Alright I guess you're riding with me" I said and went to get my bag. Hunter followed with the water still gripped in his hands. I went into the garage and got on my bike, starting her up. Hunter got on the back and gripped the sides of my bike. Soon we were speeding towards the school.
The journey was silent, maybe because he had a hangover. I drove into the school and parked my bike. Hunter quickly got off my bike and headed into the school. "Ok then" I said to myself. I got off my bike and secured her. I headed inside towards my locker but found someone standing beside. I looked closely and saw that it was Alaina. "Alaina?" I said when I was within hearing range. Her head snapped towards me in fear but calmed when she saw it was just me. "Hi" she chocked out. God does this girl never stop sobbing. "What's up?" I asked adjusting the bag on my shoulders.
She looked to the ground and started "I-I just wanted to t-thank you". I tilted my head in confusion. "For what?" I asked. She started shifting in her place, obviously nervous. Her eyes never left the ground. "F-for helping me yesterday" she whispered. "Oh no problem, Alaina glad I could help" I said softly. Her eyes instantly looked into mine and I saw so much fear. "You know you're not at all like what people say you are?" she whispered. I barely understood what she said over all the noise in the hallway, but fortunately I could lip read what she said. I again tilted my head in confusion and stepped closer to her, so I could hear her better. "What do people say about me?" I said. This must have come off strong towards her as she whimpered back away from me, probably thinking I would hurt her if I got angry. "Hey, I'm not going to hurt you" I said softly. She swallowed and looked into my sympathetic eyes. "I know" she choked out.
Just then the bell went, and the hallway started to clear. Alaina gave me a quick nod and quickly walked to her first lesson. Wow that is one fucked up girl. I got my books out of my locker and headed to my first lesson.
The day went by quickly, I always had people looking at me and whenever I glanced their way, their heads snapped in any direction but mine. There must be some rumours spreading round about me. This always happens, every time I come to a new school. Within a month people are spreading rumours about the 'badass' new girl. stereotypical assholes. Finally, it was lunch. I went into the cafeteria and everyone's conversation started to quieten. God not this again. I got my lunch and headed towards the guys. They were looking at me with confusion. "What's up?" Lauren asked while biting into her pear.
"It's nothing, just I think someone is spreading rumours about me" I said. The guys looked at each other. Do they know something. I looked at Lauren and she shifted in her seat. "What are they saying?" I sighed. Connor was the first to speak. "The rumours say that your apart of one of the deadliest gangs in the world and you have killed people, also that you're a cold-hearted bitch". I stared at Connor as if he had grown two heads. "Really? That's what they think about me?" I said in confusion.
"Yep" Ryan said and popped a chip in his mouth. I slowly nodded and glanced around the cafeteria to see that most people were looking at me. As soon as I made eye contact their eyes snapped away from my gaze. "Ok, well at least they only got one thing right in that rumour" I said and took a bite of my sandwich. "And what's that" Lauren asked. I looked around the table to see everyone's gaze boring into mine. Just then I noticed that Hunter wasn't here. "Hey where's Hunter" I asked.
"Oh, he left during first period and went home" Connor said. I nodded. I'm not surprised. He was pretty hammered last night, plus he kinda stank of alcohol. The rest of Lunch was uneventful. I kept looking around the cafeteria to see everyone avoid my gaze. Lauren kept talking about this party that was being hosted on the weekend. Ryan kept joking around and Connor joined in a few times. Leo kept to himself but talked with Alfie a few times.
I was heading to my last lesson, when I got a phone call. "Hello?" I answered.
"Hey Alex, it's Blake" he said. I stopped in my tracks and leaned against the wall. "Oh, hi Blake, what's up?" I asked.
"Oh, not much, just hanging around the bar till my shift starts" he answered. "Ok, so why are you calling me?" I said in confusion.
"Wow Alex does our friendship mean that little to you that I need a reason to call one of my favourite people" he joked. "Ok ok" I laughed. I heard Blake chuckle on the other side of the line. "So, there wasn't a solid reason on why you called?" I asked.
"Actually, there is, can you come by the bar?" He said sounding a bit desperate. "Why?" I asked. "Well were kinda short staff and well..." Blake started but got cut off by someone shouting in the background. "Oh, give me the phone Blake" I heard, I think that was Red. I heard some arguing and eventually Red came to the phone.
"Hi Alex, it's Red" she sighed. "Hey Red, what's going on?" I asked. I heard her take a breath and said "As Blake was trying to say we are short staffed as one of my girls quit because of some stupid biker. I know that you're a tough girl and I was wondering if you could help us out and work a shift for me until I find a replacement".
"Um alright sure, when do you need me?" I asked.
"Oh, thank you Alex, this means a lot to me and I kind of need you now, we start to get busy later on today and I need to show you the ropes" Red said. I looked at my watch. I two more lessons and I already know the topics so I could spare the lessons.
"Ok I'm on my way Red" I said. "Oh, thank you Alex see you in a bit hun" Red replied.
"Yeah bye" I said then hung up the phone. I looked around and saw that the corridors were empty. Good no teacher to tell me to get to my lesson. I walked out of the school and hopped on my bike. I started her up and started to head towards the bikers' bar. Well this should be interesting.
