Chapter 28: The Easy Way, Or The Hard Way?

We've almost finished our exams and summer is just around the corner. Hunter and I have gotten even closer and I can safely say that I'm really happy. However, I still have to be looking over my shoulder; just in case one of Don's goons decide to kidnap me...again.

I've also got a part time job at Red's bar. I decided to keep myself occupied and take up a few hours at the bikers bar, serving drinks. It's exhausting but has it's perks. Hunter isn't too happy that I got a part time job because it means that I spend less time with him. But it keeps me on my toes so I took it. Also I get free drinks, so its a win win situation.

Dad has got a lead on Blake as he has been spotted in California. It's a little unsettling as he is delusional, but dad assured me that they have eyes on him.

"Yo little lady, gimmie a beer" a biker yelled, pulling me out of my train of thought. One of the downsides to working at a bikers bar, are the rude ass bikers. I smiled at the guy and grabbed him a beer from the fridge and popped open the cap. I gave it to him and he gave me the money and a heavy tip. He winked at me and said "cheers darling". As soon as he turned around I rolled my eyes and put the money away.

Red was currently dealing with a few customer complaints while I was stuck behind the bar. A guy called Gavin, also works behind here but likes to be called Taco...don't ask. He is serving a few bikers at the other end of the bar. So that means I have to work this end but it's not a busy night. Maybe because the races don't start for another hour. I was wiping down the bar, thinking about my gym schedule. I was so out of it I didn't see someone sneaking up, in front of me. That's right, in front of me.

"Hey Alex" Ryan yelled so loud and slammed his hands on the bar. I gasped and my reflex action caused me to punch him in the nose. He groaned and cupped his face. "FUCK SAKE, NOT AGAIN" he yelled in pain.

"Oh gosh, Ryan" I said while getting some ice in a towel. I jumped over the bar and put the ice filled towel on his nose. "I've said this before, don't sneak up on me" I sighed while holding the ice bag on his nose. He groaned and tilted his head back.

"I know, I forgot" he said. I held the bag on his nose while his hands were over mine.

"What's going on over here" Red said with a concerned look on her face. I looked around and saw that some bikers were either looking over here in curiosity or smirking.

"Ryan snuck up on me and I accidentally punched him in the face" I explained. Red raised her eyebrows and I could see that she was trying to hold in a laugh.

"Right" she said. Ryan groaned and pressed the ice further into his nose.

"Here let's get you cleaned up" Red said and guided Ryan into the back. I ran a hand through my hair. I've got to stop punching people who sneak up on me.

"I told him" Hunter said, walking up to me with a smirk on him face. He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me into a kiss. When he let me come up for air, I was gasping like a fish.

"Get a room" we heard Leo say. I chuckled and shook my head. I looked up and saw: Lauren, Leo and Michael.

"Hey where's Alfie, Rose and Connor?" I asked.

"Alfie's sick" Lauren said.

"Rose is working" Michael answered.

"And Connor is a lazy piece of shit" Leo said casually. I laughed at him.

"I can believe that" I said. Leo shrugged and put his hands in his pockets.

"Hey Alex, need a little help over here" Taco shouted over the bikers. I looked back and saw the bar packed with bikers. I wrapped my arms around Hunter's waist "Gotta work" I stated. Hunter pouted and wined "Whhyy". I laughed at him and kissed his pout.
