Riley's POV

So, it's been about a week and a half since I was sick. I'm a lot better now. I've spent most of my time with the boys and Ana and Cat. The press have been all over us all week, getting worse by the day. We were all out a little cafe that isn't ever crowded. My asthma has been acting up a bit in the past few days.

"Isn't it nice to not have strangers asking randomly intrusive questions?" Ana laughed.

"Of course." Liam said.

"This is the first time we've caught a break in public this week!" Exclaimed Harry.

"It's crazy." Said Louis.

"Yeah, but being with you guys is all worth it." Cat giggled.

"It better be!" Joked Zayn.

"Riley, Niall. You two have been awfully quiet." Louis said

"Really? Sorry." I muttered.

It got quiet, a bit too quiet. Especially being around One Direction. My throat was feeling a little tight, so I checked my bag for my inhaler. Shit. I didn't have it on me. Oh well.

"What's wrong, what are you looking for?" Niall asked.

"Nothing." I mumbled.

We all ate lunch and chipped in for the bill. We got up and left the cafe as a group. We were only walking for a little bit, when they appeared. Paparazzi. Shit. Not again. They saw us and began to run towards us. Liam grabbed Cat and Zayn. Harry grabbed Ana and Louis. Niall grabbed me and we all began to run. We just kept running, block after block. They continued to chase us for about fifteen blocks until the last of them finally gave up. We ended up in our familiar park and everybody sat down to catch their breath.

"And people wonder how we stay in such great shape." Louis joked.

Everyone laughed, except for me. It's not that I didn't find that funny, it's just that I was having an extremely hard time catching my breath. My chest felt a lot tighter than it felt before. Everyone else was breathing normally, except for me. I could barely get a breath out, and when I did it was short and tight.

"What Riley, don't like my jokes anymore?" Louis said.

I couldn't answer. It was taking a large amount of strength just to breath.

"Riley?" Harry questioned.

I put my hand to my chest and felt my heart beating fast, faster than normal.

"Riley, what's wrong?" Niall asked.

"Riley?" Cat said.

The only word I could manage to choke out was, "Asthma." As soon as Niall heard what I said, he grabbed my bag and frantically searched for my inhaler.

"Shit, she doesn't have her inhaler!" He shouted.

"What do we do?" Liam yelled.

"I don't know, Riley how bad is it?" Niall asked me.

"Bad." I choked.

I began to hyperventilate. I tried to stand up, but that only lead to me needing to lean on the monkey bar pole for support. Everybody was frantically rushing around. Niall was calling my parents. Everyone else asking if I was okay, which wasn't helping. Every breath took more strength. I felt my knees begin to buckle and wobble. Niall looked over at me, and dropped his phone. He ran to catch me as I collapsed. He caught me just before I hit the ground.

"Riley. Riley?!" He panicked.

His voice was the last thing I heard before I passed out.
