Niall's POV

Riley literally ran out of the hospital. We all stood there, unsure of what to do or say. Her mother was crying and asking where she went wrong.

"I have a suicidal mess of a daughter." She said.

"I don't mean to be rude, but she's not a mess." I muttered.

"Yes she is. Since when was she emo?" Her mom asked.

"Don't use that term. It's incorrect." I stated.

"This is all your fault. If you would have never broken her heart, than she would have never became a depressed little shit." Her mom said.

I was shocked at how insensitive she was being. I was getting so angry.

"Well if you two would have spent more time being good parents instead of fighting than maybe she wouldn't always be so nervous all the time." I shouted.

"You were never right for her! She deserves better!" Her mom yelled.

"If you would have paid attention to her than she wouldn't have turned to hurting herself! If you weren't so busy with your other children maybe you would have noticed how much pain she was feeling. She could have killed herself and you would never known why!" I screamed.

Nobody said anything for a while. I was red in the face and crying. I was just so mad that I started to cry. I grabbed my keys and went for the door.

"Where are you going?" Zayn asked.

"To find my girlfriend." I said.

I left the hospital and headed for the park. This was the first time that she didn't come here after being upset. I checked the lake and the library. I couldn't think of where else to check. My hands were shaking and I was crying and sweating. I was walking around the whole town searching for her. I checked the train tracks and all of our favorite places. And then it finally hit me. The bridge. I ran as fast as my legs could take me. When I got there, I saw here climbing over to the other side of the bridge. The part that was unprotected. The part right above the racing river. She was going to jump. And that jump would kill her.

"Riley!" I screamed.

She looked at me. I could see that she was crying. She was shaking and barely holding on. She looked like she was ready to let go.

"Riley, what are you doing." I yelled.

"I can't anymore Niall." She said.

"Can't what?" I asked.

"Live." She whispered.

She took one hand of the railing. She moved forward a little more.

"Riley please don't." I sobbed.

"Don't cry." She said.

"Don't jump." I said.

She stared at me. I could see the pain in her eyes. The hurt, the absolute suffering.

"Please Riley. Please don't do this." I cried.

I was sobbing so hard that I was having trouble breathing.

"Don't cry that much, you're gonna have an anxiety attack." She said.

And that's when it happened. My throat tightened and I began to hyperventilate.

"Riley, don't." I croaked.

"Niall breathe." She yelled.

I was doubled over trying to catch my breathe. I was extremely dizzy and my whole body was shaking.

"Niall." She shouted.

I didn't answer. And then I heard her climb back over to the bridge. I heard her feet hitting the concrete as she ran towards me. She ran to me and put her arms around me.

"It's okay, I'm here. I didn't jump." She whispered.

She tugged me over to the side walk and we sat down next to each other.

"Don't ever do that again!" I sobbed.

She didn't answer.

"I'm serious!" I yelled.

I caught my breath again and looked up. I looked to where she was looking and I saw the boys running toward us. I put my.head on her shoulder and silently sobbed as I saw my friends approaching. Great, more explaining to do.
