Why in Hell is SHE Here?

Ariel POV

Saturday's events really changed our relationship towards each other. I'm not saying it in like a gay way or something, it's just that we're getting along way better than usual. Viara doesn't sass Nina as much, Nina and Elisa became really good friends, Nina and I fan girl together... a lot, and Elisa and I are friends once again.

"Ari! Get your head out the clouds and focus on the game!" Elisa screamed at me. 

Maybe I should tell you where I am. Its Monday afternoon, I'm in gym class playing volleyball. And i'm failing at it. 

"Sorry" I responded.

Elisa just rolled her eyes at me and skillfully served the ball. I watched as the ball sailed over the net and hit Leena Patel on the head. Besides Viara, Nina, and Elisa, Leena is one of my friends. I watched as the ball hit her head, her eyes seemed to flash white. Nobody else seemed to notice so I dismissed it as an hallucination or something. After a couple minutes, I turned towards Elisa and we walked to our little "club".

"Omg. Did you the look on that guy's face when the ball bounced onto his face?" Elisa was babbling about a boy who got hit by a ball in the face. I forgot how amusing it can be to hear about the misery of others.

"What about when the ball literally bounced from head to head?" I added. 

We chatted about funny stuff in gym till we reached the principal's office. There we saw a nasty surprise waiting for us. 

Danielle Richardson.

Viara and Nina were already there and just glaring at the ice hearted diva.

"Why in GODDAMNED HELL is SHE HERE!" Elisa screamed.

"Ouch" I muttered. "Scream in Danielle's ears next time k?"

"Ahem" Principal Lysol cleared his throat. "I already explained the situation to your friends over here. Miss Carson, care to enlighten your friends?"

Nina rolled her eyes. "Danni here, has powers like the rest of us. She is going to join our team" Nina literally looked like she was going to puke. I honestly think I threw up a little.  Just the thought of Danielle made me puke. I swear that selfish, excuse my language, bitch, makes it part of her daily schedule to terrorize me. Always finding ways to put me down, but that ain't important. What's important is that I'm forced to team up with a self obsessed snob who probably will be more concerned with her manicure than mastering her powers! 

"You know guys, since I am the element of Light, I am going to be the new leader of this pathetic group."  A snarky blonde interrupted my train of hateful thoughts.    

Elisa looked like she was about to lose it "OKAY THAT IS IT! I don't care if you are the all powerful element of light, I literally just got the news that you are going to be in our group and I want you out. I CANNOT live in a world where you get to boss me around. You know what, you can't be our leader because Nina is our leader." Satisfied with her outburst Elisa sat down like a boss. Nina looked so shocked. Of course, not to be out done, Viara stood up "Nina is way smarter than you, she can stay on task, does not go over board, and is not a self obsessed brat. Clearly she is the most qualified for the job of leader." 

As everyone started roasting Danielle, I let my thoughts wander. What is the element of light? Isn't light supposed to be a kind, guiding hand to help you through dark times? If so, why was Danielle, of all people, representing the power of light? The girl spends more time pushing people into the dark rather than showing them the light. I decided to voice my questions "Principal Lysol? What properties does the element of light have?"

Lysol POV

As I listen to the girls state their unkind opinions of Danielle,  I started thinking. If they can't accept Danielle, success will not follow. Everything could go wrong if they don't accept her.

"Principal Lysol? What properties does the element of light have?" Ariel asked.

"Very good question Ariel. The element of light is a kind nurturing element. As air represents freedom, water represents change, earth- stability, and fire- power, light represents love and loyalty." I was debating whether or not to tell them about the sixth element. If they do know about the last element, trouble will ensure.
