Viara POV

When Ariel mentioned Nina, I can hear all the hurt feelings she's holding. Elisa ditched her and joined Nina, then she ditched Nina and is now a loner. I can see how down Ariel is so I do the only logical thing. I sing her favorite song. She joined in, belting the lyrics along. It was like that until we reached school, then her spirits shot into the dumps. We got our lockers and schedules and saw that we only had two classes together. We didn't even have the same lunch periods. Finally our lockers are on opposite sides of the school. Ariel's locker was next to Nina's. She was disgusted. Luckily we had the same homeroom. Unluckily Nina and Elisa were in the same homeroom as us. Ariel and I walked to homeroom and I grabbed the first seat I saw. I looked next to me and saw Elisa. Great I am sitting next to the girl who stabbed my bestie in her back. Yay. I look to my other side and see Nina and Ari fighting for a seat. This can get very ugly.

"Um Ariel, I was going to sit here." Nina said.

"Well so was I. I want to sit next to Viara." Ariel said back.

"Look I need to sit in the front okay, you can sit in the back."

"You don't always need to sit in the front and besides it's only homeroom, you don't need to suck up to the teacher."
Ariel did not just go there.

"I am not a suck up and besides I have math in this room right after homeroom. I want to sit in the front for that. But you wouldn't understand that Ms.Second Best." Nina countered.
Elisa chose that moment to try to make amends. "Look Ms.Popular, you might want to check your mouth and your clothes. This is no prep school." I checked Nina's clothes and saw Elisa was right. Nina was wearing a crisp white button down with a red vest and tie, a red skirt, and red flats. Although her necklace was pretty cool. It was a gold chain with a phoenix figurine covered in red rubies.

I stood up. "Look Traitor, you might want stay out of this. It's not your fight. "

" If you weren't so caught up in minding your own business, you would see your friend was in trouble Blondie. Try defending someone else once in your life. " Elisa snapped.

"Did you just call me a bystander?" I just lost it. I picked up my water bottle and dumped it on her.

"You just ruined my outfit!"

"A green plaid shirt, black tights, and converse?"

I smirked in victory, but that sense of victory was lost when she threw a notebook at me. From there it just escalated. We threw whatever we could grab. Soon the whole class joined in. It was every man for himself. Papers, notebooks, pencils, calculators, and someone threw their pencil case.

"EVERYONE STOP THIS INSTANT!" Our teacher yelled. we were in so much trouble.

Nina, Ariel, Elisa, and I were singled out as the people who started the fight and went to Principal Lysol's office to listen about how we were in so much trouble.

" In all my years, I have never seen someone start a fight on the first day of school. Much less in homeroom. You ladies are in big trouble. I-" Lysol faltered. "Show me your necklaces,"

We all exchanged glances and took the chains off. "I'll return these later at your detention, go to class." We left and ran out.
