Lindsey Brenner is a good girl. She got through high school with great grades and no distractions. She hadn't had any major boyfriends due to her parents being very religious and not wanting her to be stupid. When she goes away to college she thinks it'll be a great way to escape being the perfect goodie two shoes her parents want her to be.

Jace Coulter is a gang member. Having nothing but his best friend keeping him together, he believes his life is worthless and tries to do everything he can to get killed.

Until he meets Lindsay. The perfect good girl; a challenge. She wants nothing to do with him, which only makes him want her more.

And when her new friend as well as her own past start to catch up with her, she has to face her horrible realizations.

Can Lindsay stop herself from loving everything she shouldn't have? Could she be caught in a crossfire just being with Jace? Worst of all, can she and Jane escape their pasts without getting killed?

Jane Arminio goes off to college with one sole purpose in mind: To leave her ruthless past behind.

Completely fed up with gang leaders, constantly living in danger and having to deal with the consequences of falling in love with a criminal, her only goal is to find decent, normal friends and start a life of her own without having to worry about her family's mediocre choices.

Bryson Wright has a sole purpose to finish college and follow in his father's footsteps in becoming a detective. The last thing he had in mind was to develop an interest in the new, mysterious girl in town, but he knew there was definitely more than what led the eye. Behind the new, beautiful girl who claimed to have a boring life, he knew lied so much more. And he was determined to break down her walls and maybe become something more than just an acquaintance to her.

However, when Jane's past catches up with her, will Bryson and Jane be able to overcome their differences, or will it all come crashing down?
