Yoisho - a word without meaning, said when flopping into a chair after a hard day at work.

I could feel myself jump as my phone rang. My eyes had just shot open. I slowly looked over and grabbed my phone.

"Hello?" I yawned, leaning up and groaning from the pain in my back.

"Penny, I said no yawning, don't you listen?" I looked at my alarm clock.

"Mr Luthor? It's six am...why are you calling me? How did you--" I heard a knock on my window. I looked over to see him waving. I screamed and hid under my blanket. "Are you kidding me?" I groaned once more as he opened the window and walked in.

"This was another test..."

"How many tests are there?" he chuckled as I looked at him through a small hole in blanket.

"Three. This is two. Now c'mon." he started to walk towards my bedroom door. He sighed and then walked towards my bed. He pulled my blanket away. "You seem to be very pleasant when you sleep. Tell me, do you count sheep or daisies?" I hid my face. I was then surprised to see him lay a daisy flower on the table next to my bed. I looked at him and arched a eyebrow.

"What is the need for this test?"

"Again, to catch you off guard. I like to know who'll be working at LexCorp before they start working at LexCorp. So far you're doing well, but you're starting to exceed my patience. Get dressed." I sighed and got up out of the bed.

"I hate you already." I spoke without thinking. Lucky for me he laughed.

...

"At least you bought me coffee. Now what is my huge amount of work to do?"

"Well... consider it busy work, but I have paperwork for you to do." he then dropped the biggest pile of papers I had ever seen on my desk. "And keep in mind you have the opportunity to give up at any time at all. " he smirked. I tilted my head.

"Now why would I give up? Another test?"

"Learn quickly?"

"Mhm. Now, I've got work to do." I started to look through the paperwork. Even though I really was intimidated by the pile, I decided to hide my feelings. He nodded in approval, then left the room. I sighed loudly.
