Miff - to annoy another.

Usually when I'd walk into LexCorp, it would be me walking to Lex. Yet today, from the very get-go, was different. I couldn't say I was surprised given the events of just last night. Lex smiled and me and tilted his head as he stood in front of my desk.

"Ah. There you are. Come with me." he told me simply, beginning to walk to his office. I followed.

"Where are we going?" I asked curiously, speeding up pace. He then sighed and sat down. I quickly noticed how close his office was to mine. I wondered how I never noticed before. I arched an eyebrow at him. "Well?" he looked at me and shrugged.

"We have a lot of work to do. Planning, scheduling. Yet first I have some busy work for you to do." he smiled. " something that I believe you'll enjoy..." I stayed silent. "And by that I mean coding... " I narrowed my eyes at him slightly.

"Being Lex Luthor's assistant requires coding?"

"No. I just know you enjoy coding." he then grabbed a cup full of jolly ranchers, shaking them around.

"...How much coding?"

"All the coding your little heart desires."

"At what cost?"

"You come over later." I looked at him confused. "And you wear a nice dress..."

"Mr Luthor--"

"Lex." he interrupted. "Call me Lex and Lex only." I sighed.

"I don't believe it would be appropriate for me to come over again...Especially now that I'm your new assistant..." he then held out a jolly rancher in my direction.

"It's cherry..." I pushed his hand away.

"You're not listening to what I'm saying--"

"I am. I'm just not really taking you seriously. I have a good reason though. Other than you being cute and talking to me there's no point in you trying to tell me that I won't be seeing you tonight..." he told me simply, standing again. I shook my head quickly, insulted. I closed my eyes and groaned in annoyance.

"Please don't tell me you're about to use my job against me?" as I opened my eyes he smirked at me.

"I'm not. I'm just saying there's no point in telling me otherwise because we both know you'll come anyway." he took a few steps towards me and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear. "Don't worry, I'm looking forward to it. " I was now insulted.

"Who do you take me for?" he shrugged.

"A beautiful...strong, classy yet feisty woman. I like that." he shrugged again. "I'll see you at eight."

"Don't--" he then kissed my cheek and walked away.
