More than just a shower

One month later

Eva and mines baby shower is today. Jessica is throwing it. I'm only 6 1/2 months pregnant. I don't know why Jessica didn't want to have hers too, she's having a baby girl, she found out last week.

"So...is Oliver's mom going to be there?" Mom Asks me as we drive to the beach house on folly that belongs to Jessica's parents.

"I sent her an invite, I just hope she doesn't bring all of her family" I say looking out the window.

"Well she's a grandma. She's excited....probably way more than she need to be, but she is" I send my mom a dirty look.

" it's just that I'm pregnant and people just annoy the shit out of me....and I don't feel comfortable around Oliver's family." I sigh.

"Well you're pregnant, and he hasn't been around so you do have an excuse for whether or not you want to be around his family" mom says. She starts to go in but I just zone out.

I end up falling asleep in the car and when I wake up were at the beach house and mom is shaking me.

"Mom I'm tired" I say adjusting myself.

"It's a house go lay down in one of the bedrooms....I'm sure they won't mind" she says.

"No, now that I'm up I won't be able to go back to sleep" I get out of the car and make my way to the house.

It's a big for bedroom beach house. There's one set of stairs that takes you up to the house and a garage underneath it.

I make my way up the steps slowly. I can only goal fast with an extra 50 pounds added to my body weight.

When I open the door I see blue whales all over the room. Its adorable. There are two chairs set up with the word 'Mommy' over them, one for me one for Eva. I go look in the kitchen and see hella food. There's chick-fil-la platters with chicken nuggets. A fruit platter with grapes, apples, pineapples, watermelon, cantaloupe, ect.

I see the cheese and go straight for it. But someone blocks me.

"Wait till everyone gets here" I look up and see my aunt Harley. I give her a smug look ant turn around. I head to the back porch and sit out there.

I take in the crisp early November air. I watch as the waves crash on the sand. The sound of the water with the birds and wind blowing is so calming. I look up and see the early afternoon sky. I soon fall asleep.

"Hey babe wake up" I hear Nathan's voice. It gets closer and closer as I come to. I wake up in a completely different surrounding. I'm in one of the bedrooms.

"How long was I asleep? How did I get here?"I stretch out my limbs .

"Your mom said about two hours. And I brought you in here...you looked very unconventional in that chair, I came around an hour ago" he says sitting in the bed.

"Oh okay, is everyone here?" I sit up letting my feet dangle off the bed.

"Yeah, there's a lot of women here, I just came by to drop off your gift and say hi....turns out Jessica is a second cousin, I stay here every summer because of my aunt." My mouth drops. He's related to Jessica...how did he not know? Your supposed to know who your related to. That makes him my third cousin or some shit.

"Are you kidding me? I can't love a cousin....that's like insist." I let out.

"No I'm joking...." He stands up. I cross my arms. He comes over and hugs me.
