Alex:

I felt her beside me, completely inside my arms. Her hair smell along with her fragrance filled my nose. It’s been three days since I held her in my arms and kissed her. I missed her so much.

I know her mind is filled with all those questions. But I can also feel the worry in her eyes when she saw me here. But why did she ever come here? How did this idiot ever catch her?

“Kate?” I whispered quietly in her ears. She rubbed her face on my chest and looked up with questioning eyes.

“How did you came here?” I asked her with corner of eyes looking at him.

“I…” her face lit up,” I got the necklace, Alex” she said excitingly.

“You got what?” I got confused.

“Yes, I finally got it. The next day you left me, I read the journal and realized about the necklace. I saw that once in the hands of my grandmother. She took me to the place where she hid it. I reminded it and yesterday night I went there and found it. Its was quite hard.. I know but I got it,” she gave me a huge smile.

“Why? Why did you do that?” I hated her suffering for me.

“For you, you want your brother back and I have the key. I helped you to have you your family. I never had it,” she said sadly, I hugged her tightly,” I never had a feeling of a family but for you, it’s your life. And I wanted to give you that,”

“My life is you, Kate. Why did you risk for me,” I asked her, looking straight into her lovely eyes.

“It’s because I love you,” she said sweetly.

I smiled and leaned forward to kiss her. But she broke it quickly.

“Wait, why are you here? Where have you been these three days?” she asked. I sighed.

“I know that danger will linger on you because you are the heir of the necklace. I wanted to protect you. So I went on search for this guy,” I pointed her to him. He was now lying down on the floor, quietly whistling.

“After few contacts, I found him, but he in fact knew I will come after him. He tricked me and brought me to this cave. And now I am a prisoner here,” I said.

She remained silent for a moment. She buried her head on my chest and started humming quietly. We both knew that we can’t escape from here. She hugged me tightly. Suddenly she lifted her head and looked at him.

“Hello” she yelled at him. He looked at her and gave her a sweet smile.

“So, what is that you want to know,” he wicked at her. She moved more closely to me but kept looking at him.

“I wanted to know why you captured us both. What do you want?” she asked him. He looked at her for second and walked towards us.

“You know, I think I have to tell you the reason. What a sacrifice would be if you don’t know the purpose,” he smirked. I growled. How dare he say those words?

“Did I forget to say my name? My name is Edmund, Prince Edmund,” he said proudly.

“Prince?” we both looked astonished at him.

“Yes, I am a prince. I am always a prince. I was born in a royal family. I was leading a happy life with my parents not until she came along,” he stared in the space.

“She has long blonde hair with green eyes, whenever she used to smile my heart beat began to race. She was my personal maid. The moment I laid eyes on her, I knew something will happen between us. She was always quite and sweet. She has lots of attraction,” he sighed and smiled, probably thinking about her.

“Living with her, seeing her everyday, I finally fell in love with her. She too fell in love with me. We use to meet secretly in the woods, love each other till our hearts can handle. The nights were filled with passion. But later she came out with a truth that was so hard to digest. She is a vampire. It was a time, they were hunting for vampires. As I loved her deeply, I didn’t want to expose her. We continued to meet secretly.”

“But not until one night, they actually found her. They saw her feeding on a human. They captured her and were ready to punish her. I tried to stop me father but her wouldn’t listen to me. He made me unconscious and took over his work. After few days, he told me, they killed her. I was heartbroken and I didn’t want to live without her. I went to the cliff and jumped from it, but to my surprise, I was alive. I took turns but I was alive on every turn. I didn’t know what was happening to me. Then it suddenly strikes me. When ever we made love, she used to bit me, I thought it was passionate but in fact she actually turned me into a vampire,”

“I didn’t tell my parents, but later after many years, I learned the truth. They actually didn’t kill her; they made capture her and made her sleep forever. I was furious at first but later I felt happy that finally I am going to be with her, my Rose.”

“Then how did you learn about this necklace?” Kate asked him.

“It was after many years, when I came across your great great grandfather and how he capture a vampire and made her sleep forever, I made a lot of enquire and finally found about you and the necklace,”

“I have been with you, watching you. But all I was waiting for this night, and now I have you both,” he smiled at us.

Kate trembled in my arms, I could feel her scared.

“I am ready to get scarified but with one condition,” she said suddenly looking at him. I looked confusingly at her. How can she say that?

“and what is that condition?” he raised an eyebrow at her.

“Only if you let Alex have his brother and let us go free,” she looked straight into his eyes.

“Okay deal,” he said.

“No,” I said spontaneously.
