Instead of seeing Flare on the ground defeated we saw an exhausted Lucy fall to her knees and slowly onto the floor beneath her.
"W-What happened?!?!" I'm so shocked I can barely get my words out
"Hmm..." Makarov narrows his eyes
It seems like he's glaring at Raven Tail. What's going on in that head of his? Is he simply jumping to conclusions or did we miss something?
"Makarov?" I whisper
"Hmm?" He keeps his eyes on Raven Tail but particularly on his son Ivan
"Whats going on? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's confused here." I say
"To be honest...it looks like Raven Tail or at least one of their members did something to alter the outcome of this match." He says
"So basically they cheated. Right?" I say
"Yes! They cheated! Why I oughta...!" Makarov starts to throw a tantrum
"...And the match is over! Looks like Flare scored some points for Raven Tail!" The announcer states the obvious
"Lucy!" Natsu literally runs and jumps over everyone to get to Lucy
[Natsu and Lucy in the arena]
Lucy's laying on the ground battered with her magic power depleted. As Natsu gets closer and closer to Lucy he hears her crying.
"Come on Luce..." Natsu lifts Lucy's head off of the ground
"I-I'm sorry. I fought the best I could." Lucy cries
"We all know you did." Natsu tries to cheer up Lucy "We'll get em next time. It'll be our chance to climb right back up to the top. Our chance to show them not to mess with Fairy Tail. So...its ok. We still have a fighting chance at this."
"...Yeah." Lucy wipes her eyes "I'm all fired up now..."
Natsu picks up Lucy and carries her to the infirmary.
