I woke up the next day, walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, my hair shorter than its original length due to the curls forming in each lock, long enough to hang down my shoulders and reach quarter of my back, my eyes were the lightest hazel I’ve ever seen them. My mum always told me that when they look like that it means I’m happy, which I guess I was. I was with friends, back at home where I have all of my memories.

I smiled to my reflection, for once in two years I didn’t feel…alone.

I got out of the house and took a taxi to where I was headed, after about 30 minutes I was at the doorstep of the familiar building, oh how I’ve come to miss it here.

‘Sunshine center’  I read as I slowly made my way in from the cold weather to the smell of roses that always lingered here, I walked slowly through the halls remembering every detail I once knew;

“may I help you, honey?” I heard her well known voice and I turned around to face her, the years have grown on her, and she looked more tired than I left her…that and the fact there must be about 50 new children here that make her go insane

“Jessica, is that you?” she looked ecstatic, and I nodded as I she pulled me to her arms

“it’s lovely to see you again Ms. Anne” I said as I slowly pulled back

“you have no idea how much we miss you here, darling” she spoke softly

“trust me the feeling is mutual” I gave her a warm smile

“the kids never stopped asking about you” she added

“well, I’m here now. So I’ll get to work then” I cheerfully said, I missed these kids like they were my own, but they were one of the reasons I didn’t want to leave the place here, for they were one of the reasons I smiled…a major one.

“if you’re actually putting that into mind, then I’m winning” I teased finn

“no you’re not, what I’m saying is totally the right thing to do, I mean think about it…” he responded the two of us have been sitting like this for the past hour at nando’s. Discussions with him just seemed really entertaining for me he always had a strong point that he didn’t back out from and I always made him, he was honestly brilliant.

“stop it. Both of you.” Jolie banged the table gaining both of our attention

“I didn’t not introduce the two of you to each other for you to act like damn lawyers whenever you discuss something , so cut. It. Out.” She was honestly pissed and with that jack approached the table finally arriving after waiting on him for 1 straight hour to actually eat.

“jack, whose point of view do you approve of? mine or his?” I asked before he even sat down

“taking in mind that he’s my brother…” he took his time to set down-“ so of course, yours.” He said with a smirk to finn and I laughed in victory

“you lose!” I teased and watched Finn cover his face with his hands

“thank you for putting them to rest, jack” jolie teased

“so, food?” I said looking at the menu like all of them

“jolie, do they still serve that dish I like with that sauce?” I asked and I knew she would understand

“yeah…” she said bluntly and I dropped my menu –“man! They need to stop doing that”

“you can give it to jack though, he likes it. What he doesn’t like is your favorite actually. Get what you want, swap sauces” she said not taking her eyes away from the menu. I looked at jack whose green eyes peaked from the top of the menu with raised eyebrows;
