Don't go after her again

“what the hell is this?” finn looked at jack in rage as he threw his train tickets on the kitchen counter , jack proceeded to look at what he threw, Jolie coming in briefly after finn;

“what? Did you enjoy having your little secret with her?”he glanced at jolie

“what the hell are you saying?” finn yelled

“you said you couldn’t reach her as well, to this day I’ve been trying to call her and you stood there and watched” jack yelled in his defense –“and you” he turned his head to Jolie –“each day you gave me another excuse of why she can’t get back to me, that she’s busy, what were you trying to do?”

“do you have any idea of how much I needed her to be there?” he was finally a little quite –“I needed to talk to her but you wouldn’t let me” he yelled

“stop yelling ,stop yelling like you have every right to, when you are the reason for all of this” finn yelled and Jolie pushed him back from Jack, trying to keep him calm but failing

“Do you even know how her leaving affected us, all of us? Not just you, did you think of your little sister how cried for 2 days straight?” his voice was getting higher and Jolie thanked god that the rest of the family weren’t here

“what are you talking about?” jack said slowly not taking his brother’s attack well or in consideration

Jolie kept trying to calm Finn down, as he clenched his fist and breathed in, it took them a while to regain their sense before jolie sat down with Jack to try and explain things for there was no way she could run away from it now, jolie breathed in and out multiple times before actually speaking;

“a while after meeting you” Jolie started –“Jessica…started falling in love with you”

“what?” he shook his head in surprise

“let her finish” finn spoke

“she had no idea you had a girlfriend then, but when she did find out it was too late for her to do anything about it, she was already in love with you” Jolie breathed in –“it was extremely hard for her, all the times she saw you both together, or just the plain feeling of loving someone who’s not loving you back and there’s no way for him to do so, was like torture for her, I don’t blame her for leaving cause I think she was incredibly strong through this whole thing”

“she had to act okay each time you were with ellie around her, she had to make sure no one knows anything especially you and ellie, but over time I guess she just got tired of it” she paused for a while as jack was listening closely to each word that came out of her mouth in disbelief –“a day after your birthday, which by the way she organized every piece of”

“what? No? Ellie said….” Jack started –“Ellie asked Jessica to give her the credit for it” Jolie cut him off

“Jessica did everything, from the guests to the cake, the place, everything was Jessica’s planning, Ellie was just a guest just like me and Finn and all of your friends, when Jessica and I were in the washroom Ellie came in and asked Jessica for permission to tell you that she did it, she kept emphasizing on the fact that it will make you happier and so Jessica in the sake of her happiness said it was okay if she did” jack fell back on his chair, trying to let all of this sink in but failed to believe all of it

“the day after, she said goodbye to everyone including your mum and sister and she packed her things and called us in the morning” Jolie said and looked over at finn

“she asked us to drive her to the train station that morning, when I sat with her she started crying and it was the worst thing I’ve ever had to see” Finn contributed –“I realized then how truly this girl loves you, but you were too busy looking at someone else to notice It” he added

“Do her a favor Jack, don’t go after her again” finn said and jack looked up at him –“don’t go and see her,if you’re not in love with her” he continued –“don’t make this harder on her than it already is”

Jack sat there for a whole 2 minutes, analyzing what he just heard, contemplating whether to believe it or not, he realized how hard he was already making it for her, how stupid it was for him to go and find her, but he had one right reason to do so, something that he was feeling but kept at the deep end of his heart, knowing it would be impossible to be real, so he decided not even think about it;

But as the truth came unfolded, he slowly realized;

He was falling in love with her.
