I was currently standing before the wooden doors of the academy doors, gripping the Hokage's robes in a fist. "Umm... Hokage-sama... What if they don't like me?"
"They will learn to like you eventually, Yumi-chan." He said, smiling at me.
I released his robes hesitantly, opening the doors. There was a lady at a desk, lazily reading a magazine. "Miss? Can you tell me where Iruka Umino's class is?"
She looked at me with what started as annoyance, but soon became disgust and a slight tone of fear. Silently she pointed to a hallway to my right. "Room eight." She hissed shortly.
I sighed, yet another one, huh? When I reached the door to the classroom, the door swing open and a tan brown haired man stared down at her. Probably Umino-san.
"Ahh, Yumi. Come in." He... didn't hate me? Well, whatever, I'd take what I could get.
I followed after him, and soon found myself staring at a class mostly full of glares.
"I'm Yumi Akimura. It's a pleasure to meet you all." I said, bowing at the waist.
"Any questions for Yumi-chan?" Iruka-sensei asked.
Only two people raised their hands, a pink haired girl and a blonde, whiskered boy. Iruka-sensei pointed at the blonde first.
"Why do you have wings, horns and a tail?" He asked.
"Umm... I'm a very bad man's experiment." I said, rubbing my pointed ears.
Then the pinkette spoke, "Do you like Sasuke-kun?" She asked, pointing at a raven haired boy that seemed to be glaring at nothing in particular.
"Like? As in... love?" She nodded. "No. I've never spoken to him before, so that's not even possible." I said, and my tail twitched, wrapping itself around my left leg.
All of the other student sweatdropped at my comment, and I quietly walked over to the only empty seat in the room, a seat next to a boy eating a bag of chips vigorously.
"Hi." He mumbled through mouthfulls. "I'm Chouji Akimichi."
I smiled, he didn't seem to hate me either, so I extended a hand. "It's nice to meet you, Chouji-san." He shook my hand, his grip firm.
Soon, Iruka-sensei began lecturing on about chakra theory. It was nice, I enjoyed learning new things, and I took very detailed notes. If Orochimaru taught me anything, it was that notes always proved to be useful later on.
After Iruka-sensei called for lunch, I was approached by the blonde boy from this morning. "I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" He grinned.
I smiled back softly, "It's nice to meet you Naruto-san."
He blinked in confusion. "You don't hate me?"
"No, why would I?" I asked, tail twitching curiously.
He grinned happily, "I'm going to be Hokage someday!"
My eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That's so cool!"
Well let me know what you think, ne? I can't decide which team I want to put her on, but I was thinking Asuma's, maybe? Let me know.
