Sakura-chan

I had been standing up so that I could go get ramen with Naruto when it happened. A pink and red blob attatched itself to my arm. "Ne, Yumi-chan, do you want to get lunch with me?" The pinkette, Sakura, I think, asked, smiling brightly.

My tail flailed around nervously behind me, and I felt my pointed ears twitch. "Eh... I was gonna go get ramen with Naruto, but I'm sure he won't mind if I cancel..." I said, scratching the back of my head, a nervous tick I'd picked up from a certain blonde, though Lee might have had something to do with it, too.

She grinned wider, hugging my arm to her chest and dragging me off towards the door. Before we exited I yelled out, "Gomen ne, Naruto!"

He anwered, but I couldn't quite hear what was said. I shrugged it off, and followed Sakura, who dragged me towards a sushi shop.

We placed an order, and sat at a small booth by the front window, each with a glass of green tea. I sipped at the warm liquid happily. It wasn't often that I got the chance to hang out with other girls. I only got along with Hinata, but not a lot, because I think she's jealous that I'm so close to Naruto. Even though she knows it's totally platonic.

"So..." Sakura said, "Tell me about yourself, Yumi-chan."

"Hmm... well my favourite colour's red, and I hate snakes. My closest friends are Onii-san and Naruto, and I'm also friends with Hinata. My favourite food is dango, but onigiri is a close second." I hummed quietly, before adding "And I hope to be great friends with you, Sakura-chan."

The pinkette blushed. "Me too. My favorite color's red, as well. I dislike Ino and gross things, and my closest friend is my civilian neighbor, Fuyu-chan. My favorite food is strawberry short cake, though I like anything sweet." Sakura smiled at me softly. "You know, my parents told me to stay away from you, but you seemed so nice... and, though I was a little hesitant before, I think I want to befriend Naruto, too."

She... was going against her parents to befriend me? "I-I don't want you to get in trouble, Sakura-chan..." I said, eyes wide in shock.

"That doesn't matter to me." She said, smiling softly. "Besides, I've always wanted more friends. It shouldn't matter who they are."

I felt tears well up in my eyes, before spilling over. "I-I... Sakura-chan!"

She giggled, leaning over the table to encase my smaller frame in a warm hug.

Gomen ne, it's been far too long since I last updated, I was caught up with finals and EOCs, but I'm almost finished with the next chapter, so I'll try to post it as soon as I'm done!

Bye~
