"Road trip!" Naruto yelled as soon as we stepped outside the village gates. "This is so exciting! I've never been outside the village before..."

I sighed quietly, and readjusted the messenger bag on my shoulder. "You know, Naruto, that's not very reassuring to the client."

Tazuna-san completely ignored that I'd spoken, and continued on as it I'd said nothing. "Do you really expect me to trust this fool with my life?"

"Oi!" Naruto yelled, glaring at the old man. "You don't ever mess with a ninja, especially not a really good one like me! I'm gonna be the next Hokage, dattebayo! My name's Naruto Uzumaki, remember it!"

"You? Hokage? What a joke. Even if you did manage to become Hokage, I still wouldn't respect you." He sneered, and I gave a quiet huff, pulling Onii-san along as I walked ahead.

"Ne, Tazune-san?" Sakura-Chan spoke as the others walked a little behind us. "You're from the Wave Country, right?"

"Yeah, what of it?" Our client grunted.

"Kakashi-sensei? Are there ninja there, too?" She inquired, turning her head to look back at him.

"No. Not in the Land of Waves. Most other countries have Hidden Villages, though. Shinobi villages act as a line of defence in case of an attack, but such things aren't necessary for small island nations, which are more difficult to invade. Among the various shinobi villages, Kirigakure, Iwagakure, Sunagakure, Konohagakure and Kumogakure are the most powerful. They are also the only ones with leaders called Kages. The Raikage rules over Kumogakure, the Mizukage over Kirigakure, the Tsuchikage over Iwagakure, the Hokage over Konohagakure, and the Kazekage over Sunagakure." He explained, looking up from his book.

"Really? Wow, Lord Hokage is pretty amazing, then!" She lied, adusting the straps on her bag.

He gave her a disbelieving look, but didn't comment. "Anyways, you won't have to worry about encountering any foreign ninja. Such things don't happen on C-ranks."

I looked down at a puddle as we passed it. It hasn't rained in a while, so why was... oh well. Whatever it was didn't seem important, so I shrugged it off, continuing on walking.

Right as Kakashi passed it, though, two ninja appeared out of it, and wrapped him tightly in a spiked chain. "One little piggy." One of the man muttered, and they tugged sharply on the chain, severing his body into several pieces.

Sakura shrieked, stumbling backwards and looking away. I paled at the sight of his corpse, but turned and threw a kunai quickly as they appeared behind Naruto as well. My kunai missed, but the one Onii-san threw pinned the chain connecting them to a tree.

He appeared between the two and kicked them in the face. The two shinobi caught themselves, and released the chain from their gauntlets. When one flung himself at Naruto I quickly moved between them, dagger drawn. The purple blade pierced through his gut, and I stared in horror at my hand, bathed in crimson.

I-I'd killed him. He was dead and it was my fault. I collapsed on my knees, releasing the blade from my grip and watching as it fell from his gut, lying on the ground in front of me. My eyes slid up from the blade to meet his eyes, only to see them glazed over as he fell back, bleeding out in front of me. Bile rose up my throat, and I threw up right there, tears streaming down my face. All I coud see was Orochimaru, his sword pierced through my older brother's chest, smirking down at me. Black spots appeared in my vision, until darkness took over completely.

Well, that's that, huh? I actually wasn't planning for her first kill to happen so soon, but, well, it happened, along with a panic attack. I don't think I've ever written a death scene before, so tell me how I did. Was her reaction accurate? I'm not sure.

Bye~
