yes is such an easy thing to
just become accustomed to
maybe it's the way soul's eyes light up when it is said or
the way it feels to nod your head
but sometimes the body is not wanting to accept everything
yet it doesn't want to say no because
the hurt in her eyes it shows and
the look she gives that you despise but
you have to say no
or you become a joke
they run over you like the road and
you wish you never spoke
and the words that you choke
out they should never evoke
a feeling that you are sheepish
about what you had to let out
its fine to say no
and that party?
you don't have to go.
