Stuck in this body
Of someone I'm not.
Pretending to be
Someone I'm not.
Hoping people will deal with
Someone I'm not.
I don't believe
I should have to be
Someone I'm not.
I try to act myself,
But my lies make me
Someone I'm not.
I am not a girl,
Nor a boy.
Sometimes
I don't even
Feel human,
But I am.
Just like you.
Why not accept
Me for who I am,
Rather than for
Someone I am not.
But if this is the only way
You'll accept
Me,
I will continue
to be
someone I am not.
