"Callie?" Said a familiar voice as she entered into the chaos and crowd again.
Callie turned to see Jude walking towards her quickly.
Callie smiled then wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him to her.
"You ok?" She asked as she placed her hand on his cheek.
Jude nodded.
"Yeah? Good." She hugged him again.
They both hugged each other in the middle of others.
"Have you seen Mariana?" Jude asked. Callie pulled away from him and looked at him.
"No not yet."
"You should go to her, she's, she's pretty shaken up."
Callie looked around trying to find her. She stopped at an ambulance. Mariana sat in it next to some Stef and some other guy. She was too far away to see.
"I'm gonna go find Taylor, I'll meet you at the ambulance." Jude gave a small smile then nodded.
Callie nodded too then ran her fingers through his hair as he began to walk away.
Once Callie got closer to the ambulance she noticed who the guy was, it was Brandon.
His arm was hanging in a sling comfortably. He sat next to Stef in the ambulance but he wasn't  looking at her. He was looking and talking to Courtney who was leaning against the vehicle.
Callie walked closer and everyone turned to her.
"Hey, cal." Stef said softly as Callie stopped in front of them all.
She looked to Mariana. She didn't seem to be handling things as well as Callie was. She seemed traumatised and frozen. She didn't cry or talk she just sat with a blanket over her shoulders.
"Stef." Said a voice behind Callie.
She turned to see an officer walking towards them.
"Yeah?"
"Uh, Harper needs you." He replied pointing behind him with his thumb.
Stef sighed. "Yeah, I'll be right there."
She stood off from the ambulance.
"I'll be back."
She walked away from them. Her black uniform disappearing in the mass of students and teachers and family members.
Callie looked away then at the gap in between Brandon and Mariana.
She sat down in between them slightly ignoring the fact that Brandon and Courtney were right there.
She turned to Mariana and tried to meet her eyes with hers.
"How you doing?" She asked in an almost whisper.
Mariana looked up slowly to Callie. Her eyes red from tears and bottom lip shaking slightly.
"I saw some one die today." She muttered.
Callie tensed up as the sight of the girl laying on the ground played back in her mind.
Mariana looked down then Callie draped her arm around her shoulder and pulled her in to her.
Brandon looked over at them, he heard their whole conversation, well what is was any way.
"Where's Jesus?" Mariana said suddenly.
"Uh, he was sitting in moms car about to look for you."
Mariana nodded slightly then the sight of some one came into her vision.
It was mat.
"Mariana." He said jogging her slightly.
"Mat?" She stood up letting Callie's arm and the blanket fall from her.
Mat grabbed her in his grip and wrapped his arms around her back.
Tears began to fall from her eyes.
He held her closer like it was the last time they would ever hold each other.
She began to sob then she cried harder into his shoulder.
"Shhh, hey, you're ok." He whispered into her ear.
Mat looked up from Mariana's shoulder slightly. He saw Brandon sitting down wearing a sling.
A worried looked turned mats face as the sight of his best friend being hurt concerned him.
Brandon knew what he meant by the expression on his face. He didn't want mat to let go of Mariana so Brandon just gave a small smile and a nod like he was saying. 'I'm fine.'
Callie turned to Brandon and stared down at his sling.
"How's your arm?" She asked not sure what to say.
"Uh,.. It's ok. The medic just gave me a few stitches." Brandon replied looking over to her.
Courtney caught their look and then cleared her throat.
"So do, did you know the shooter?" She asked.
Callie and Brandon looked up to her.
"Uh, yeah." Brandon replied.
"It was Mariana's boyfriend." She shrugged.
Courtney's mouth fell open slightly in shock. "Woah, ok."
"Yeah." Brandon said looking away.
There was a small fast sound, like an alarm or something, then Courtney reached in her pocket and pulled out her phone.
"Oh, I have to go get m..." Courtney's words faded out as she shoved her phone back in her pocket. She hadn't even wondered if Callie or anyone knew about mason. She didn't wanna call Brandon out on it.
"Mason, yeah?" Brandon said nodding slightly.
"Eddies working late."
Callie looked away like the situation that was unfolding was ...funny. Like some strange sitcom.
"I'll see you later." She said looking down at Brandon. "Bye Callie."
"Yep." Callie replied as Courtney began to walk away.
Once she was gone Brandon looked down then across to Callie.
"What?" Callie frowned as she grew almost nervous.
Brandon swallowed. "It's all downhill from here then."
Callie looked away as she realised what he meant. The real drama was about to go down and the shooting would be forgotten. Moms knew that had sex. They knew that they had a history and it wasn't just one sided. Callie felt it too.
The shooting was nothing compared to what would happen when they would get home and the door would shut.
The real drama was just getting started.
