'And where are you going?' I mentally cursed as I turned to the voice.
'Out.'
'Oh, with who?' James asked, grinning.
'Rosemary, Natasha and Raylene.'
'Ok then, stay safe!'
I left my house and grabbed my skateboard from where it was leaning against the wall. Throwing it on the ground, I pushed off, my headphones in my ears, "Do or Die" by Thirty Seconds To Mars echoing in my ear drums. I rolled down the streets, picking up speed, my fringe being blown from my face. I loved the feeling I got when I was on my skateboard, I felt so free.
Pulling up outside the McDonald's, I stopped and stamped on the end, so it flipped into my arm. I entered and made a bee line for the three who were currently waving at me from a table.
'Heya guys.' I said, slipping into a space next to Rosemary and catching the iced frappe that Natasha slid over to me. 'Cheers.'
'So what's the goss?' Asked Raylene.
'Costa.' I said, taking a drink.
'What about it?'
'I met a guy...'
'In Costa?' Asked Rosemary
'Working at Costa?' Chipped in Natasha.
'Drinking a Costa?' Added Raylene.
'Would you let me finish?!'
They all laughed.
'As I was saying, I met a guy...'
'Outside Costa?'
'Rosemary!'
'Sorry, just trying to help!
'No, he...'
'Owns Costa.' A set of hand slipped over my eyes. 'Guess who?'
'Liam!' I stood up and saw the smiling boy. He opened his arms and hugged me tight, kissing my forehead.
'What are you doing here?' I asked.
'My dad hates these places and I'm not allowed here - so I come here as often as I can.' He laughed.
We both sat, him next to me, his arm slung round causally round my shoulders.
'So ladies, how are we all?' He asked.
'Fine, fine.' Said Natasha.
'That's good to hear.' He looked at me. 'And you?'
'I'm fine as well.' I said.
'That is defiantly good.' He smiles, before giving me a quick kiss. Breaking off, I gave him a smile.
'So, what's new then?' Asked Liam.
'Ashley's girlfriend.' Said Raylene.
'Kina - again.' Scoffed Rosemary.
'You'd think he'd learnt from the first time.' Added Natasha.
I shrugged.
'I mean, who goes out with their ex? If it didn't worked out the first time, how do you make the assumption it will work this time?' Questioned Rosemary.
'Dunno, but I think he's being a bit of a prick.' Snorted Natasha.
Suddenly, Liam's phone stared going.
'Hello?... Why?... Oh mum... C'mon, Dad can't be serious... Fine... Bye....'
He cut off, and looked at me sadly.
