I don’t think I had ever wanted my brother so bad…
Casting another glance at the tiny window, I once again tried to work out if there was a way to get out – before then remembering the rope that secured me to the water pipe. I mentally cursed, before leaning back, giving the rope round my wrists another fruitless tug. I was beginning to forget what the outside looked like, after two weeks.
The door suddenly flew open. Light poured in, and I winced, before starting to automatically shake as Samuel came down, a smirk on his face. Upstairs, I could hear the faint voices of his friends.
“Now,” he said, quietly, undoing the rope attached to the pipe, “I have some friends over, who are very excited to see you. However, you’re going to have to be a good girl, and behave yourself, you got that?”
I was silent.
“I asked you a question. When I ask a fucking question, you fucking answer!” He spat, voice rising in tone and hand giving me a short, sharp, slap in the face.
My cheek stinging, I nodded.
Jay’s P.O.V
“I’m sorry, but ve still have no leads. Ve are searching round zhe clock zhough – ve shall find her.”
I sighed, ending the call and putting the phone down, before sinking back onto the couch, head in hands. Where had my baby sister gone? Where had they taken her?
“Still nothing?” I looked up at Dahvie, and shook my head dejectedly.
“Nothing.” I whispered.
The couch sunk next to me, and a set of arms encased me, bringing me to them.
“Hey, it’s going to be ok. They’ll find her. Roxie’s a strong girl. She’ll fight every step of the way.” James soothed.
I nodded into his shirt, feeling a tear fall down my cheek.
Roxie’s P.O.V
“Faster! Faster!”
“So tight…”“Little whore, harder!”
“Fucking hell, so good…”
My eyes shot open. I was back in the cellar, sore and sticky, with that familiar emptiness souring in the pit of my stomach. It didn’t matter how many times it happened, it never lessened the feeling of violation, that sensation that something had been snatched from you.
Stretching as much as I could, I took another glance at the window, covered by the bush. Sunlight was filtering through, as if trying to give me hope in my current situation. Footsteps could be heard, but I made no attempt to get their attention – the window was hidden behind the bushes, and making a sound would only draw Samuel’s attention and anger him.
It did leave me wondering though; what would be their reaction, if they knew they were walking right past the window, where I was being held against my will, with the ability to help me, save me? I would how many would feel sick with themselves, ashamed…
A pound coin suddenly rolled through the bars. I stared at it, surprised.
“Oh shoot, where did that go?...” That voice… why was it so familiar?
The bushes were pushed aside, and my gaze suddenly connected with the emerald eyes of J.
The green orbs widened and his jaw dropped.
