CLAIRE

"Luna!"

I turn around and see Miranda, one of the trusted women werewolves here in this pack, approaching me with such shock. I quickly told the kids to play in the mini park that was constructed for them before I even arrived here then turn my attention to Miranda.

"Miranda, what is it?" I politely ask her and she smiles at me with such relief

"It's your father, he is awake."

LAWRENCE

'Lawrence! Dad is awake! Please accompany me.'

I hear Claire in my mind. She is mind-linking me. I quickly stood up from my chair and exit from my office. Thank God George is finally awake. Now we can get some answers unto why Claire can shift.

CLAIRE

"Dad!" I completely hug him when he was already sitting up from his bed. The pack nurses have already removed the dextrose from his body and I can tell that his physique has become extremely healthy. I'm glad he is now safe and sound.

"Sweetie.." Dad buries his face on my neck and hugs me tightly. He pulls away and smiles reassuringly at me, "how long was I out?"

"Almost a week." I told him and he lightly shakes his head, unable to register that he has been out for almost a week.

"Where are we?"

"Lawrence's pack hospital." I sit beside him, "and I'm the Luna since I'm his mate."

"That's good." He smiles and I smile back and a few seconds later, my smile turns into a frown.

"Dad, I shifted into a wolf."

Dad froze.

"And I don't know why that happened. I was also waiting for you to wake up so that I can hear answers from you."

Seconds later, I feel Lawrence's presence entering the room. He looks at me and quickly sits beside me. I completely snaked my hand around his arm and held on to it. I'm really calmed whenever he is around and I can feel a purr inside of me when his head rested on my shoulder.

"I-I can't answer that right now.." Dad tells me hesitantly and I raise an eyebrow

"Dad.. Are you still hiding something from me?" I call out to him and he just stared at the floor in awe, "dad!"

"I'm sorry, sweetie.." Dad replies and I just can't shake the fact that he is still hiding things from me

"Dad, is it that secretive and critical? I can surely take it!" I was becoming agitated again but Lawrence hugs me by the waist to calm me.

I don't want secrets anymore.

"Dad, tell me.. How was I able to shift? If only you can tell me!"
