Chapter Forty-Two (Epilogue)

Yes, this is the epilogue of the book.

I just want to thank all of my readers out there and not giving up on me!

Claire couldn't believe her eyes. It was her mate.

Lawrence slowly struts towards her. He hugs her intimately and Claire hugs him back.

"Claire.. Remember me?" Lawrence stares into her eyes, "please.. Do you remember me.."

As if unconsciously, she started to open her mouth and spoke—"Lawrence."

Lawrence widely smiles and kisses her with so much longingness.. Passion.. He missed everything about her..

It has been 4 months but it felt like they were gone for an hour. Time flew so fast for the two.

When their lips touched, Claire immediately remembered everything.

She remembered their first encounter..

Their first kiss..

The troubles..

The problems..

First love-making..

How the witch helped them..

And how Lawrence is actually the father of the child growing inside of her.

Claire pulls away and checks his neck. It was fully healed. Finally, all of the waiting—they were back together again.

Neil and Marie just smiled happily at them as Neil slowly caresses Marie's tummy. Lawrence did the same but he knelt down and kissed Claire's. He whispered something on her stomach where his soon-to-be-born child is.

"Your daddy is back.. I will always be here to protect you and your mom.." Lawrence looks up and Claire just cried while smiling, "I will always love you both.."

TWO MONTHS  LATER

"Lawrence! LAWRENCE!"

"Baby, I'm coming!" Lawrence storms inside their room and approaches Claire. He felt pain on his stomach and he knew it came from Claire—they have a mate bond anyways.

"The baby is coming!" Claire painfully sits up, "DON'T JUST STAND THERE! DO SOMETHING ALREADY!"

"I'm going to carry you to the pack hospital! JUST DON'T PANIC!"

"You're the one who is panicking!"

"Who wouldn't?! I'm going to be a father and you're going to be a mother!" Lawrence picks Claire up in bridal style and proceeds on running out of the house—steadily and carefully.

"Alpha, your son is born."

Lawrence entered the room where Claire carefully cooed their baby son on her arms. She was smiling happily and Lawrence couldn't help it but cry a little at the sight. Claire noticed his presence and reached out her hand—indicating that Lawrence must come near.

Lawrence stood beside his mate and looked at the bundle of joy resting on her arms. He sat beside her and caressed the nose of their newborn son. Claire rests her head on Lawrence's shoulder—feeling at ease and tranquil. Lawrence kisses Claire's head and continues on gazing at their lovely son.

"What are we going to name him?" Claire asks and lets him hold the baby. Lawrence slowly opens his arm and carefully lays the baby on his arms—smiling.

"He looks like an angel." Lawrence looks at their son's face.

"How about Christian?" Claire suggests and Lawrence looks at her with content.

"Christian, it is."

Both of them smiled.. And they knew this happiness will surely never last.

They made it through the hardships together..

The enemies they fought..

The problems and troubles that kept arising..

Their love was strong..

And nothing can ever change that.

And now they have a son name Christian—they will make sure that their family is well and protected. They are whole now and no one will ever break it not even the temptations and impediments.

EIGHT YEARS LATER

"Christian! Where are you?!" Claire keeps on looking for her son, Christian. He was out of the house again. Maybe he was playing with the other kids.

Claire goes outside and sees Christian talking to Anna, Marie and Neil's daughter. Claire sighs in relief and approaches them.

"I was worried sick, Christian!" Claire tells his son and Christian looks up to her.

"Mommy, why am I having a strange feeling whenever I'm with Anna?"

Uh-oh.

"Where is my mighty son?" Lawrence entered the scene and Christian ran towards him, jumping into his arms.

"Daddy!" Christian happily exclaims and Lawrence kisses Christian on the cheek.

A few minutes later, Neil and Marie went to their daughter. Anna ran to her father so Neil picked her up with glee. Marie just laughed at them and then turned her attention to Claire.

Let me warn you, I think Christian and Anna are mates. Claire started mind-linking

Yes, I figured. Anna keeps on talking how she feels strange around Christian like she wants to be with him at all times.

"What are you guys talking about?" Lawrence cuts the mind-link by kissing Claire on the lips.

"Oh nothing just some stuff." Claire smiles reassuringly and Lawrence raises his eyebrow.

When a boy approached Anna just to ask her about going to the pack park, Christian began to feel furious.

"Hey! Don't talk to her!" Christian shouted at the boy and the boy fled.

"You were mean, Christian!" Anna sticks her tongue out.

Their parents look at each other and just knew that this is going to be a heck of a roller coaster ride.

I can't believe I have finished a book! Never in my whole life I have expected this!
