-.-.-

CLAIRE

It has been three days since the tragic incident happened. It has been three days that dad is still unconscious in the pack hospital of Lawrence's. I have been waiting for dad to wake up because half of the reason for that is because I want to know some answers on why I shifted two days ago.

Lawrence told me to stay with him for today though I haven't gotten the chance to roam around the vicinity of his pack territory. His pack is called Silvers Pack. At first, I was shocked that they called me Luna but then again, I adapted with the term very quickly.

Valerio and Ema went home after what happened. However; both of them have wolf mates and they decided to stay. Ema took care of Leo and well—Leo already has been healed yesterday and they both now are just trying to calm themselves down. Valerio went to Lena's pack and surprisingly she was welcomed by my uncle or Lena's father. I remembered Lena telling me that they don't judge their mates based on the race.

Back to my baffled reverie..

It was really sudden. I couldn't register the thought that I was able to shift despite knowing that dad is the dominant (human genes). I don't know where I could find other answers besides from my dad. He has been the one keeping it silent for the past years of my existence.

Thinking about it makes my heart sink. Maybe I don't know really know who or what I am.

The death of Angelica caused an uproar between two packs. Lawrence told me that Angelica was the daughter of the alpha of the Bridgecran pack—a strong neighboring pack. He also told me that she was supposed to be his fiancée before he met his mate because he believed that he wouldn't be able to find me. Also, Angelica was an only child and so that cleared off the clouds as to why she seemed spoiled and bratty. The alpha of the Bridgecran pack abhorred me because I was the one who killed his daughter but Lawrence threatened him that if he so as much touch or harm me they will never hesitate to engage an attack.

Well that stopped it. Why? It would be a hassle for two packs to engage in a battle. Many lives will be lost and in order to halt these casualties they must put it behind.

But I realized that I hated myself for killing Angelica. I know she was really a pain and that she almost killed my father--- but deep inside, I know she was suffering from abandonment. She thought that maybe Lawrence will light up her lonely world. Sadly yet luckily I entered the picture but I didn't mean to start an outburst.

'Claire! Our mate is here!'

I was just sitting on this chair beside dad's hospital bed when I felt Lawrence entering the room. I didn't bother looking at him. I just stared at dad's calm face. A tear rolled down my fatigue face. I haven't gotten much sleep for the past days. I am still worried of dad's health. He is human and the bite that Angelica gave him was fatal for him.

"You should rest." Lawrence was already kneeling beside me and I just shook my head

"No.. I'm fine." I replied and somehow he growled at me. I flinched a little and looked at him, "I said I'm fine! I've already told you, haven't I?!"

"I know you're not fucking fine, Claire. You've been telling me this shit for days! Don't be so stubborn! I'm taking you to my room whether you like it or not!"
