Susan Was Always First

Teaser Chapter!

Caspian could feel it's presence, though he couldn't see it. 

"What are you?" The king growled, head swerving around, trying to locate it. "And where is Susan!"

The voice laughed, echoing throughout the room. "Patience, dear king. It's not your time yet. No, we aren't expecting you for a long time."

"Tell me where my wife is!" He narrowed his eyes as his face scrunched up in rage. "And Lucy, and Peter, and Edmund!"

"Haven't you figured it out yet?" The voice changed pitch, becoming that of a young female. "I am them."

"You lie!" He shouted, clenching his fists.

"Do I?" The voice questioned. Suddenly, it's sound was much too familiar. Her voice. "Please, be patient. When your time comes, everything will be revealed. And then, you'll see." The voice laughed cruelly. 

The king let out a shout. "As long as I breathe I will not give up on finding them! I will not give up on Susan!"

"Susan went first...Isn't it fitting you should go last?" It mocked. "The only king who hasn't ruled for years? The one who knows so little of the world, yet pretends he knows all? No, that is why you must wait. Wait until we need you, until you are ready. Goodbye, King Caspian. Remember, she went first. How human do you think she'll be when you find her?"

"You monster!" He swung at the air, feeling nothing connect with his blade. The king buried his head into his hands and sunk tot he ground. 

"I swear Susan," he said quietly. "I will free you from those beasts!"

AN: So as I said, this will be turned into a full story. However, I plan on finishing it before I begin posting it. So it will be a while before I get everything worked out and ready. But here's a sneak peek at a piece from a middle chapter, to get your interest!
